that is correct. i will eventually get to it, but it released it to the community because I knew I would not have time to keep it going and have it available for 4.x when everyone else needs it. As we have been dealing with the hack that affected thousands of forums using vbseo (including 2 of ours), our time has been focused on that.

Hi,

Even though that option is selected it does not work, it still sends in plain text.

I uninstalled this, tried to reinstall and get database error messages

Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.3:

I don't think it uninstalled correctly, as it has gone from the plugin & Products list but its still on the ADMINCP column on the left

matthewhotdude 03-19-2010 08:16 AM

Please someone?

JWL 03-19-2010 10:24 PM

I have an interesting issue, I edited the templates to change color backgrounds ad a image to my log and changed a single image to this http://www.norcalcanyoncarvers.com/i...hread_h_bg.gif aka thread_h_bg.gif

Now in Outlook 2007 I cannot see this image or the thread_title_bg.gif

I can however see it in Preview unde admincp as well as in Horde or Squirral mail :erm: a littl confused, because I can format any letter with html as this and I can read in it outllook just fine

Worked before the edit

djbaxter 03-19-2010 10:38 PM

In Admin CP | Settings | Style & Language Settings, do you have Store CSS Stylesheets as Files? set to "Yes"?

If so, that's probably the problem. Set that option to "No" and see if it works.

Negative, even ran all update counters and such afterwards

grandeur_69 03-22-2010 12:23 AM

must be the way the image is linked. Certain programs block CSS and images differently.

I have been going through Outllook 2007's configs, nothign I can find. I think it is related to that not sure, so far all the images appear correctly in as stated, Squirrel, Horde and Cube

It has to be 2007, I just tested under my charter account and everything is perfect...

If anyone else having issues with this under Outlook 2007?

matthewhotdude 03-24-2010 08:00 PM

I had some time and translated the xml file to Turkish and attached it to this post. I hope my fellow country people enjoys it !

I have to add someting to the plugint: there are to many information to send. Sometimes the thread starter, date or other information are not necessarily important. Just thread name and the link is enought.

Community Neswletter sends threads randomly. It would also be an inprovement if the newsletter can be send sectionized eg. :

Section 1

New Post 1
New Post 2
New Post 3

Section 2

New Post 1
New Post 2
New Post 3

When I go to Send Community Bulletin and look at Show info starting from this date: it only goes to 2008 how do I get this up to 2010 and beyond?

Great product and thanks for making it free. I'm having a problem getting the 'Show info starting from this date' option to work. I set it for Jan 1st 2010 and choose 'yes' for the option below to activate it, yet when I generate my newsletter under 'most replied' threads it shows threads from way back in 2008 which are old but have lots of replies.

Is there a bug?

Did you find a fix to this mine shows 2008 I don't even have a 2010 option. lol

Does this send out automatically, or manually? Can you check it before sending? Can you add in a 'editors note' type thing?

it is a dumb question since it was replied to 6 posts previous

Grandeur, as I remember previous versions of this (I've had them all...) used to pick up the style of the forum default, for the body of the commbull html email.

Has anyone created a version of "commbull_template_html.php" that will do that? (I'm awful at writing html...) For some reason I get a faded blue color on the emails.

Oh, and I think, after a little usage, this is working for me on vb 4.03, without the cron scheduling ability. Which is just fine for me.

grandeur_69 06-02-2010 02:29 PM

I never thought about that ... that will definitely be something we will work on. We have officially put the development of Commbull for vb4 on our work schedule, as we are about a week away from completing the integration of our old forum design into vb4 and will need commbull up and running.

This would be a grand request for v3.8. It would work something like how vBA takes on the default style, right?

strange. the end value for the date is the current year. It's simply a call to
Code:

date('Y')
... so if it's only showing 2008, maybe the server date is wrong .. I'm not sure why this would be so. What version do you have?

hmm, that's strange. I've never actually moved the directory, but everywhere in the code i see
Code:

$vbulletin->config['Misc']['admincpdir']
. We just upgraded one of our forums to vb4 and the admincp is in another directory, so this week I'll be upgrading the code to vb4 compatibility and i'll be checking the directory stuff ...

However, today is Canada Day and I'm in a big softball tournament, so all this will have to wait till next week ... sorry.

blackberry 07-01-2010 07:27 PM

I just renamed admincp to admincpforum and its giving me error i have changed the code like mentioned

Code:

$vbulletin->config['Misc']['admincpforum']
tell me wht to write

thanks

grandeur_69 07-02-2010 02:33 PM

misunderstanding. i didn't mean for you to change the code. Everywhere in MY code, I am using the vbulletin configuration settings to reference the files, so it should work. I'm not sure why it is not working for you, but I don't have time to go through my code to find out. What version of vB are you running?

blackberry 07-02-2010 09:47 PM

3.8.4 is my version
