For guests/not logged in, the mod should ideally use a email based identifier for the user? right now it is cookie based (not sure)? also, there should be an option to turn FAQs off (use vb's default FAQ system). have uninstalled it until these changes are incorporated. ndahiya |

I also had to uninstall. I got database errors when I tried to add FAQs and there just seems to be too many issues at this time to have it on my live site.
Once this comes out of Beta I'll be interested. Until then it's just too many headaches. |

I did thank you for your efforts Maria, thing is because there are bugs on the hack I can't have it on a live site, I had to uninstall it, I do realise that people has a life outside this, and I run my own business as well.

First off, I want you to realize that we ALL appreciate what it is you do! Don't think because some have uninstalled that we don't like the idea or what you've done. In fact, once this goes out of Beta stage I'll most certainly be redownloading and installing it again. As to letting it go, without feedback you have no way of knowing whether or not something needs work. I probably could have been more descriptive in what my issues were, but I got a tad lazy. I don't want you to take the wrong meaning by my post (even though I know you were talking generally and not my post specifically) and know that this is still tagged and I plan on still using this once it's done. |
As I promised, I spent the whole day today, to redesign and correct everything reported as bug. I've finished 99% of it, left out for the moment, the re-open function, but I'm very tired to release it today, is better to wait till tomorrow morning.

As I promised, I just released microSUPPORT ver.4.4.0, which I do believe that fixes all reported bugs. Using it, it's easily understandable that it has been redesigned from scratch. No more double navbar, no apperance of departments or products in lists, if you've turn them off. Please pay attention to confirm that the directory microsupport/attachments is CMOD 777. Sometimes, this causes Internal server error, if its not and you're trying to upload attachments. For those who want to use it just for FAQ, I've to say that they can do it, by setting up usergroup permissions (no ticket posting) and turning off the Reply info block, from microSUPPORT Options. When i use the pulldown view no problem can u look at this ? |

I like very much to try the microSUPPORT product. But I run in to an irritating error message:
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in C:\wamp\www\forum\support.php on line 291 I run vBulletin on a MS W2k3 server, WAMP, vB suite 4.0.0 PL1 I have changed the access rights on the directory "/attachments" (CMOD 777) to fullcontrol for everyone, but also get the same error message. Does somebody knows what goes wrong here? - Ashley |

I am glad I have found a solution for the errormessage reported earlier - as said, I have initialy installed wamp 2.0i server (with HPH 5.3 included) - looking an googling I found a suggestion: installing an wamp addon PHP2.9 the problem was solved. (download it from the wampserver site, install it and finaly select it as the running environment) - Ashley |

I have installed this back on to test, and I am still getting an internal server error, its on when the user who submits the ticket replies, there is no attachment in the reply, and I have cmod the attachment file to 777, another thing is, I have renamed the HelpDesk to Forum Help, and it hasn't changed the name in the navbar, also the Technician link is showing for users despite 'Is Technician Team?' is set to no.
Sorry maria if its a lot, but I can only give the feedback that I am having at the moment, I like the way you have changed things around though, thanks for sharing :) |
