Installed on my 3.8.7 board and it replaced a bunch of users avatars with the default one. When I turn the product off, their original avatar does not show anymore. Anyone else have this?
|
There is no way that would happen with this plugin.
|
Looks good! Thanks!
Feature request: Could you add different default avatar for male and female? |
You could do that with a profile field Alfa1.
Do you have a profile field now? |
Thank you

It happens ONLY on the "My Profile" Site! In the Forum it is OK! |
Hi, just a quick question, is this working for 4.1.4?
Would appreciate a simple reply from anyone. thanks! |
Yeah, it's working for me. But why didn't just try it out? Takes like 2 minutes...
|
It works to me also but not 100% correctly
I use 4.1.4 version When a user with no avatar makes a post the default avatar does not appear in the forum block - latest forum threads block. |

I'm just wondering, if this can get a proper update for 4.1.4 and if a new feature can be added - just specify either 1 particular .jpg / .gif / .png or set a whole folder where is 100+ images of the same size and it would pick one randomly or go from the first one to the last one and than repeat the cycle, is it possible? Regards, ~~QS |
Useful, tagged.
Thanx |

Is it not appearing in users profiles, or users posts?
|
It is not appearing in forum block.
It appears in user's profile and forum posts and works ok there, but in forum block (latest threads etc) it does not work there. |
Thanks, works nicely with 4.1.4 pl2 :)
Shows in posts, on the member list and in the profile. |
It is not supposed to appear in the forum block. We didn't design it to.
|
Αny chance to update this mod for this purpose too?
The avatar to be visible to forum block also? |
Not right now.
|
Thanks!!! working now on 4.1.5pl1
|
@Zachery you can use the "Gravatar as Default Avatar" mod that has instructions also to display avatar in forum blocks (it's a manual template edit because of the lack of hook). If you don't want to use the generated gravatar, you can use the "mm" option that is the same image used by Default Avatar (this mod).
|
Works using 4.1.5 pl1 :)
|
Works this in 4.1.7 too?

This addon should more or less work on any version of vBulletin, infact it works on vBulletin 3 more or less the same. |

I'm probably missing this, but how do you install this? Sorry I'm still a newb when it comes to such things.

Installed and seemingly working
4.1.8 What's all the fuss about? |

I use only two mods that effect my postbit (legacy) and a bug has surfaced, but I will have to get back to verify this is the case. Note: Doesnt effect the op of the default avatar mod, but the mod seems to effect another. Will get back on this. |
Just installed it on 4.1.8 and the only problem i get is if i change the pic from "unknown.gif" to something else for example "vampire.gif" it shows broken image even though its in the same directory... Can anyone tell me what m doing wrong ?? Thanks in advance.
|
Did you update the avatar url in the admincp?
|
Thanks Zachery
I just changed file name not the location :) working on 4.1.9 :) |
As above, working fine on 4.1.9
|
Great mod but I'm having problems in the CMS comments.
The mod doesn't give an avatar to some users who don't have one set (I've checked). Instead they have a 1px by 1px transparent avatar. I've tried rebuilding avatar thumbnails and assigning an avatar before deleting it again but no joy. Any suggestions? vBulletin 4.1.9 with vbSEO 3.6.0 (custom thumbnail rewrites disabled) |
bro mode working properly but i want my avtar center in the block but its apear left
how do i set the avatar show in center? i have postbit not like u above ur picture. |
Working fine with 4.1.10
|
