Ok, don't ask me what it was, I just set up another testbed with 3.8.4, just as virginal as the other, now at least I see a navbar. :) Don't know what the installation hickup was...
Next issue now: When trying to add a vehicle, after choosing the make the model dropdown does not get populated. So I can't ad a vehicle :)

Did everything get moved into the clientscripts folder? I use ajax for the dropdowns and that's where the ajax files are. That's the only time I've seen it not work is if the files aren't there.

cellarius 09-18-2009 06:50 AM

*goes looking*

cellarius 09-18-2009 06:54 AM

It's all there, I'm afraid...

Technically you uninstall and reinstall the full.

The uninstall doesn't delete any tables/data so you would uninstall the product, move the commercial files over and install the upgrade from free script. This will modify the tables to match the commercial product.

I did it this way so I could get rid of all the vb templates/phrases/plugins/etc while retaining the data.

Thanks that fixed it,
I just Got a PM from a User that he can't edit his Garage...

I some how lost the ability to edit my garage or post a time slip. What did I screw up?

The button that says 2006 Mustang had an arrow with editing choices last night. I deleted my first vehicle then re-entered again. Now the little triangle is gone and when I click on 2006 mustang it brings me back to the forum.
Any Ideas.

I know it's possible, one of my users created a hack to show the images on the front page. I can't redistribute it though since it's not my work.

Can you send me a link to the garage location? I signed up on your forums but it's not in the normal place. The images should upload ok. It sounds like a permissions problem but that shouldn't be a problem anymore with the script, I put in code to change the permissions on the folder if needed.

Any possible way to contact his user, it would make this mod complete for me.

I'll PM you the location as this is on a dev site.

How can a Owner of the Garage Car edit his own timeslip?
is this an Admin only function

Also when I have 9 images and I want to add the tenth one (10 Max) I get this message

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12032 bytes) in /home/smustan1/public_html/forum/includes/garage_func_var.php on line 1728

If you view your vehicle there are option buttons to edit and delete each timeslip.

It might be because you have 32M for processing and it was a large image. If you keep running into that problem you can switch it in the ACP so that it will limit the size of the image allowed instead of resizing it.
ACP->vBulletin Options->Garage General Settings
Change Image Resizing Setting to Size Limit

I'm getting a blank page when adding a time slip? I can input all the fields, and it goes to garage_timeslips.php? and it's blank.

What could be the issue?

Most of the time this error is from a conflict with another script that does a lot of java writing. If you have cyb shoutbox or a few other cyb products you need to have them disabled on the garage pages.

Would I be able to get ftp access to the test server? It's like it's losing the variable command that tells it your submitting a timeslip and just does nothing. I checked the code I can see from the submit page and it works on my local dev system.

Dylanblitz 09-29-2009 04:25 PM

Can you pm me a list of the products you have installed? I'll take a look at them and see if I can narrow it down.

movslow 09-30-2009 12:55 PM

After we updated to VB ver 3.8.4 the garage stopped working.

DB errors anytime you try to upload a picture or add a vehicle.

Dylanblitz 09-30-2009 01:24 PM

Can you pm me one of the errors?
The upgrade itself or 3.8.4 shouldn't be causing a problem. I've been running it in dev since it came out and I know quite a few users have it running in production.

The link SVTCobraLTD provided is only for commercial users, it was developed by a user and posted on my site, but I can re-release it since it's not my work. I do have a vba front page random vehicle image module I can give you though. I'll add it to my mod here.

Dylan, feel free to add the forumhome hack to here as well.

Hi
Does it have the option to use it as a timeslip database only? or must it be used as both - garage & timeslip database ?

Moe

It will only work as both. You can remove the Main, Browse and search pages and have it default to the Timeslips page. But the vehicle records are required for the timeslips to operate correctly.

discontained 11-21-2009 01:54 AM

Hi, i installed this onto my forum. When members submit a time slip they get a blank white page. I tried to search but saw that was asked but not answered.

Thanks

Big Kahuna 12-05-2009 05:12 AM

I'm wondering if anyone has upgraded to vbulletin 4.0 and had this work

Dylanblitz 12-05-2009 06:37 AM

Someone has tried and it doesn't, no surprise there though with all the template calls.
I'm finishing up my next release then after that I'm going to work on making it compatible with vb4.

Big Kahuna 12-05-2009 02:29 PM

Kewl -- this appears to be the only mod holding me back from an upgrade.

wottech 12-05-2009 05:20 PM

The fact that there were over 200 bug fixes between beta 4 and beta 5 ISN'T holding you back?? I'm holding out upgrading until it goes gold, otherwise its just asking for trouble.

Big Kahuna 12-06-2009 12:56 AM

My bad -- I had assume it was gold after the full court press to upgrade I was getting in email. I don't have time to be Bleeding Edge.
