OK Folks I finally got this to work. WooHoo! I think what the problem was or is that when I highlighted the imdb code and hit the BB Code IMDB Image it put the [/imdb] on the line below instead of right after the IMDB code, (In Essence It Put a Carriage Return which was messing up the IMDB Code Tags). Once I hit delete and brought the entire code on 1 line it worked like a charm and I stopped getting the unable to connect error message.

You can go into Admincp / Maintenance and Click on View PHP Info, this will bring up your PHP Config Info, do a search for allow_url_open and it will show you if its on or enabled.

I want the Full version too, I have sent a PM to get the full version, I got this working properly within an hr figured out hitting the imdb Edit BB Code accidentally put a carriage return in and dropped [/imdb] to the next line, removing the carriage return or manually putting the imdb tags worked like a charm, no more Unable to Connect error Message! WooT!

BTW I Have Like 40 Mods that have a bug one way or another so I am not afraid of a little quirkiness in a modification. I just want to be able to display more than 2 actors and more information.

Hey If Anyone Has the Advanced Version Please Get with Me. This Coder needs to remove the fact that there is an advanced version since he refuses to update his mod nor to release to anyone the advanced version any more. I am truly saddened by his lack of commitment and unwillingness to release the advanced version to people who are willing to pay for it. The Lite Version is Nice and works But Shows very Little Info , leaves a large blank space on pages where advanced version should be populating info, It gives just a little more info than what is already posted in my pages by default. It Looks Nice but truly I need the Advanced versin for it to Look appropriate and for my mods to see a reason for actually using it.

Unfortunately you can't. The developer has been promising the advanced version for 3 months now and will not give it to anyone even those who are more than willing to pay for it. :(

The advanced version has bugs, some really big bugs :) . PHP Errors which makes the server load enormous. Some mysql errors could be come up. I personally removed the plugin for the time being I've figure out these issues.

So be advise to be carrefull whlie using it.

Of course as a developer salusoft, after putting so much effor into this plugin I hope you wouldn't give it or sell it to somebody else. But It's my fault that I didn't encoded it. I'll put that in mind.

php/mysql errors would be visible in your apache logs. So be adviced to use it at your own risk.

Upgrade instructions? I Installed and am using the previous version but have no idea if installing this on top of that one will cause issues and since you removed the previous installation instructions I do not remember the code I put in for it, so I can remove it and put the new code in.

Thanks for fixing the Paypal Issue, The Problem with reversing the code changes made in 1.0 is that there were no instruction file with 1.0 it was all here on the page which of course you have changed, can you tell us or write in a text file the code changes we need to take out to remove 1.0 so we can install 2.0?

The correspondent files are encrypted. I updated the zip. Delete your imdb folder and upload the new one to your forums root.

Is there a chance this could be expanded in the future to be a popup window, modal window or even a vb menu?

The use case for me is, I manage a forum where there are many, many, many threads devoted to specific films. Since it would be showing up all over the place, it would be ideal to have it be a link to a popup or new page instead.

I realize I can probably make this modification myself, but thought I'd suggest it here since it seems like an attractive feature in general. (Plus, I don't have the time right now to work on it).
