I'm getting database errors. Any ideas for a fix? They seem to only happen to unregistered users when trying to view a thread.

MySQL Error : Duplicate entry '65535' for key 1
Error Number : 1062

Update to the latest version or change the INT size on the table to a larger number, you've run out of stored views!

Hello.

Could this product cause my site to be denied for Google Adsense? I have submitted my application several times but the adsense team keeps telling me that the site is:

- Under construction
---------------------
Further detail:
Under construction: We've found that your site's pages are incomplete or under construction. To be considered for AdSense, we require websites to be fully launched and functioning, allowing users to navigate throughout your site with a menu, sitemap, or appropriate links. Your site must also contain enough content for our specialists to review and to display relevant ads. Once the majority of your site is complete and functional, we'll be happy to reconsider your application.

Here is the site..

Shouldn't be the cause of it. How many views are you setting your views too?

Can't see it being an issue but you could always turn off the mod and see if they let you in.

When the product is enabled, I am unable to produce the nag. However, it is working on other sites. Could you point me in the right direction :)

Sorry if I already asked but do you have the necessary variable added to your navbar template?

Im going to have to send a donation for this mod since it rocks right after im done modifying it.

How would i go about getting rid of the "vbulletin message container"

I want to create my own design for the error page but that container makes it look ugly.

Maybe i can use some sorta conditional to exclude it from this error page?

You can either use a conditional on that template or just edit the mod and make it proint to a page rather than an error message.

lazyseller 03-09-2010 04:21 AM

I was playing around with it and i use a conditional for the showthread page? is there a better option?

For the showthread "bug" message you can edit the limited_guest_viewing template. For the take over message it's about the error template.

lycheepassion 05-03-2010 10:05 PM

What has the response been to this? good bad? More members?

Deimos 05-19-2010 06:53 PM

Definatly more registered/active members on my forum when it's enabled.

davepurcell 05-22-2010 11:51 PM

We have styled most of our forum and want to do the same to the box the take over message is shown in.
How is it possible to change the way it's displayed instead of it being the standard vBulletin error message

Your best bet is to either style the error template or create a new page template and slightly edit this mod to use it.

Can I use this addon to let guests view 3 threads (regardless of how many posts are in there) and after that block viewing permission?

Is it possible to turn off the nag notice? I already show a nag notice in forum and in other software applications.

On the no permission screen, could you please add the following function:
Ask the user if he/she wants to register and read more.
Add a YES / NO button.
If the user selects YES then take the user to the registration form.

This will further increase registration influx.

That's how the mod works...

You have to turn it on for it to show up, so yes, you can turn it off

Edit the template, add the button, it's just a link so there's nothing the mod needs feature wise.

TitanJeff 08-30-2010 08:52 PM

I really like the idea of this and wondered if there was any way to have the nag notice appear as a pop-up? Thanks.

427mouse 09-09-2010 03:37 AM

Is it possible to also have this mod prevent guests from viewing thread titles after their limit is reached?

Borpf 09-10-2010 08:43 PM

Thanks!
Very easy to use and very effective.
Before I got many guest-readers today.
Now i got many new Members everyday.
Thanks!

Deimos 09-10-2010 08:56 PM

Seems to work well, traffic has increased slightly and number of active (registered) users, has also gone up.

Not at this time

Trip 09-12-2010 03:55 AM

Quick question Ted...Will your mod affect the syndication (RSS Feed) function on my board. Example, if a non registered user subscribes to my forum's feed and they continue to browse until getting locked down. Will this non registered user still receive the feed. I'm thinking yes, but I am not 100% sure.
