It will work straight away (ie the first time it runs).

Peter_AUS 02-03-2010 12:21 AM

Would be nice if there was an email system that could be used to send out to the members advising them of the fact that they have been moved to inactive group, as a reminder to them. The email could be then modified for each person using the mod to text it the way the want it to read, with advice to please respond to the email if they have had troubles logging in, recovering password, no longer want to remain a member. This way we can as administrators, work on those members that are having issues we might not know about. Also we would be notified of undeliverable emails as well, and cull off those members. Is this possible to be done, would enhance this mod very well that way and I am sure that many that use it, would agree with this as an added feature.

thompson 02-07-2010 02:46 PM

is it possible to do this for inactive moderators ?

ex.: if a moderator is inactive for more than x days, than move him to registered users. if he cames back and will have his job back, the admin can move him back to moderators group (and all permissions are back) ?

thanks. sorry for school english

Paul M 02-07-2010 07:42 PM

You can set which usergroups it affects, so you could configure it for only mod usergroups.

TomTMSHDM 02-18-2010 08:38 AM

Optinal emails would be perfect... Due to my needs this is missing.

How should the users know about there move - without an email?

Greets,
Tom

Have 11500th member. Currently 1200 members left. What should I do to bring back. I'm sorry I do not speak English. I'm trying to explain with pictures.

How do I get members back? Picture 3

(Türkçe bilenler yardım edermisiniz ?)

Peter_AUS 02-21-2010 09:57 PM

Make sure that you put the group number in the field to move people back to that group once they log in again. It will move them back to the group you define again the 2 in there is shown for reference only, as we all have different groups, the one you want to move them back to may be different, mine certainly is different.

rizelim 03-10-2010 06:04 AM

@ Paul M non-active members again, how can we do deactivated.

Paul M 03-10-2010 11:11 AM

I dont understand your question.

rizelim 03-10-2010 02:50 PM

Yes. lost, How to restore the members
How do I need to fill in the picture marked section?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...9&d=1266795355

Paul M 03-10-2010 09:27 PM

I cannot tell you what values to put in there, its dependant on your forum. Each one explains what it is, you have to decide on the actual values.

Peter_AUS 03-10-2010 10:04 PM

Look in Groups and have a look for the number of the group you want to move them back to. Then change the 2 to the number of the group that is relevant to your system setup. Mine for instance is group 9, I have replaced group 2 with 9.

Thank you. But I did a little research. Ultimately a member of management> delete members - registration is a section in the picture looks as if I've managed to transfer the 11500th member back

T?rk?e: Teşekk?rler. Fakat ben biraz araştırdım. Nihayetinde ?ye y?netimi > ?yeleri sil - kaydır b?l?m?nden resimde g?r?nd?ğ? gibi yaparak 11500 ?yeyi tekrar geri aktarmayı başardım

Peter_AUS 03-10-2010 11:44 PM

Sorry but I don't understand the language in the pictures.

Kyojii 03-28-2010 05:49 AM

a nice update feature would be an option to send a PM to those that are moved to inactive.

Also, another nice addition would allow you to set the time value per usergroup rather than select the usergroups per value. In this way you can set multiple usergroups at different removal intervals.

nice hack.

I have no idea what this means.

Peter_AUS 04-01-2010 12:33 AM

I didn't understand it either. But would it be possible to have an email set-up to advise the member when they are moved to inactive group that this has happened, something that we can edit (email that is) to include information that we would like to include personally. Like explain why they have been moved, if they are having login issues contact admin, etc ? That would be a think a great improvement to this very good plugin. The email would be sent out after the daily check for inactive members meeting the criteria to be moved to the inactive group.

Sorry, but adding an e-mail option would mean a lot of changes to the way it works. I have no plans to do this. If you want to e-mail people in the new groups you can use the ACP user e-mail option every so often. By definition these are not regular users so they dont need an instant e-mail.

Im afraid I still dont understand the question, I think maybe you need someone who speaks english to translate for you before you post.

I have istall your product but in 24 hours no customer has not moved who had not been connected from 180 days.

Paul M 04-01-2010 11:13 AM

If its run, then you dont have anyone who matches your settings.

It is not difficult to setting the product? by now are been annoying? but on 3.8.5 it does not work! :(

krimesis 04-03-2010 10:58 AM

In this moment i have 72 users who are not connected by 90 days and the product does not work!

BillieJoe 04-03-2010 01:05 PM

Is there any chance of a modification to set a number of posts a user must have within the defined number of days?

For example, a user must have 10 post within the past 60 days otherwise he will set to the defined usergroup.

krimesis 04-04-2010 07:33 PM

Sorry, I do not work on 3.8.5 just passed hand 72 users who are not logged by 90 days.
:(

krimesis 04-04-2010 09:28 PM

Perhaps I have understood because the product did not work, I had a group that I had to remove and that is the users to 0 post! , now it has passed the users inactive.

TMH63 05-18-2010 03:24 PM

I need to upgrade to vB4 and I want to disable all of my mods(including this one) and add them back slowly. If I deleted this mod, what happens to all of my members in the inactive usergroup? If I simply deleted the inactive usergroup, would those members be deleted as well?

I'm just figuring out the easiest way to get those members back to the "registered" usergroup.

Thanks.

Paul M 05-18-2010 06:19 PM

There is no need to do anything other than install the 4.0 version after you have upgraded - it will remove the 3.8 version itself.

SEW810 06-23-2010 03:57 PM

Installed and waiting for results... (hope it works with vb 3.8.5)

imedic 07-14-2010 12:40 PM

I have installed also in 3.8.5 and wait for a result.
I did not see any cron jobs related to this mod. Hope it works in other way...

NoNickeD 07-14-2010 12:44 PM

Great Idea mate! Thank you.

That would be the note in the main post ;)

Note: The move of inactive users is done once per day as part of the daily update cron job.

:)
Works like a charm in 3.8.5 Keep up the good work :D .
I just wonder I have some users in a group with payed access. If some of them goes to inactive group they will remain in payed group?
(mention, they are not moved in payed group, they are in same time members of registered group and payed group)

Unfortunately I cant test this (or I don't know for the moment how).

This only affects primary usergroup. If they are members of the paid group as a secondary group then they will be fine, if its their primary group then they will be removed.

imedic 07-20-2010 12:21 AM

Great!
Many thanks Paul :)

Calystos 08-05-2010 11:37 PM

Anyone know if theres anything like this that can auto-prune the ancient users from the database?

I saw that really old auto-prune inactive members addon but its in the graveyard now, :(

So anyway of adding an option that can auto-prune old members to this inactive usergroup addon as it sounds really useful.

OFFSHORE DAN 09-01-2010 02:21 PM

Great mod and thank you so much!

Welshy2008 10-11-2010 02:31 PM

Installed, Rated and Nominated.

Thanks Paul. :)
