Fixed that, would love to add it to the NAV bar and have it show in all forums, ANYONE?

For the next version it would interesting that You can select the forums you want the banner to appear with inherit option (like banner rotator)

I also would like to be able to set up two of these, one for a banner in the header and another for a square banner on me side bar. Can one just edit the install file in dream weaver and change the plugin name to cby.....2 or something?

I am having the same question as far as what to put in for "THIS_SCRIPT"

I want the banner to show up on my forum index, so I have "index" inserted and it shows fine.

I also want it to show on just one forum page which is http://www.mysite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=71 ...........What do I insert to make it show?

I have a question though. I want to the image to fade to the next one instead of just changing. I have a script that will do it but don't know how to incorporate it instead of the one that is included. Any help would be appreciated.

So what is the duration field mean? seconds? days? months?
I need an end date at the very least if possible in the next revision

If the banners aren't showing up then add $cyb_flashimagebanners in the templates that you want the banners to show :)

Just updated from 1.7 to 1.8, on vB 3.8.1.

The following problems are noticed:

Banners start loading on pages, but then they dissappear as soon as they load, or even before they've finished loading. This problem also happened with the previous 1.7 version, but less often.

Edit: I've changed Duration from '5' to '30' for each banner. The banner still disappears though it takes longer to do so.

Edit: This problem is not reproduced when Play Mode is set to 'Single'

I'm a complete newbie so if anyone could help me with this very basic question I would really appreciate it.

I've installed this mod on my forum - all seems fine, it loads up inthe Admin CP and I can access it via the Quick Links on the nav bar. I then uploaded the banner images to a new folder on my server with the address say http://forum.mydomain.com/web/content/banners

When input the address to a banner image via Quick Links I get a broken image in the little window int he mod control area. I am inputting the full file path/URL as above eg. http://forum.mydomain.com/web/conten...annerimage.jpg
Then if I make the banner active I get the outline of the banner with a broken image on the forum... what am I doing wrong? I told you it was a newbie question!

Just wondering if anyone can help me with a very newbie question. The mod seems to be working but all of the images are broken.

I have them in a folder I created called cyb_banners
The file path is something like: http://forum.mysite.com/cyb_banners/banner.jpg

When I place the file path/url as above in the mod cp in Quick Links I get a broken image. This image is also broken on the forum if I active the banner....

I presume I am not doing it correctly, how do I fix this?

Still can't get any of my images to appear. I upload them to a folder on my server, then input the url inn the Mod CP - I get a broken image there and a broken image on the forum (with the outline shape of the banner). Really want this Mod to work on my forum. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

PS the images are resized correctly.

Still no joy in getting banners to appear - I get the text for the banner name and the shape of the banner is clickable (takes me to the url I want). I could really do with a hand here...

but when i click on forums or any other link it turns to a red x? can i fix this this also is vise versa- if i dont put forms/ in front of cyb_banners/banner1.jpg it works on all the other pages but not the home page??

When I post a swf banner it shows the swf banner but with a black triangle on the right hand side of the banner [kind of like the logo for "play" on a cd player]. How can I get rid of this black triangle?

I had the same issue.. just put the complete path to the banner. expl: /forum/cyb_banners/1.jpg you might be only missing the /

You'll have to upload them using an FTP client, Miss Chatterbox.

ok im with ms chatterbox, i have the xml on the site and i have banners ready to put with it but i have no place to put them, where do i specify the paths for it, better yet how do i get to the second screen shot, is that a different hack, looks simple if i could find where that is.

You have to create the folder yourself. You can either add it in a subfolder of your forums dir (i.e. /forums/cyb-banners) or if you think they belong elsewhere , you create the folder there).

The menu from the second screenshot is avaiable under "quick links".
