It's Posible change the Value of Max Medal to show in PostBit, to some Groups?

I try this in Postbit

$GLOBALS[aw_display_limit]= NEW_VALUE
$vboptions[aw_display_limit]=NEW_VALUE

Thank You

1. Email being sent says the award is from User 1 - It does not display user 1's name.

2. When I click on an award in the postbit, it takes me to the users profile, yet it is not showing up in the users profile.

3. When you go to Product Manager in AdminCP and click on the Yet Another Awards system product, it takes you to the 2.1.4 thread instead of this one.

Just thought I would point these out. Maybe with #2 I am over looking something but thought I would throw it out there.

Ok, we are looking into this, I have noticed on my test site that sometimes it does and sometimes it don't, so tracking it down.

I have found a error within the PM message you get when a award is given i have tried to edit the PM message title: FW: Congratulation! You have got a new award!

it should say: Congratulations!

It seems there are no phases to edit any ideas how i can edit this?

thanks

You can edit the phrase by doing a search in phrases for the word award. That is how I get to it each time. There in one for the email and one for the PM. I had to edit it because it wasn't showing up right through the email and PM.

This is not an issues if in options you put a users name in where it asks for the UserID that messages are sent. That either should be changed so you can add the user's ID that you want the messages sent from or the word ID changed to NAME so people know to enter the user's name not ID.

Yes I can, PM me and I will give out a way to get a hold of me.

If for those who are asking for support and have downloaded this mod, please click install so I can tell that you have it installed, there are a few of you who have downloaded but do not show as clicking install.

Thank You

FIXED!

This mod was messing up some of the admin settings. A new version of it was released and that cleared it up.

Anyways, On my board the discription shows fine in every place.

If you say on the award setting to NOT display an award image, the profile tab doesn't adjust the table and the description is placed in the the 2nd column... when you say to display the award image even if you don't have one, the profile tab shows correctly.

Let me know if I explained that correctly.

There's an uncached template "awards_postbit_display" found.

Currently that is not possible with default code.

Hey great job on getting it up and running ... way to go ... so how much trouble is this going to be to install -- I would love to add it in very soon since you guys have done some great work here and I have been waiting for this .. since the news that you guys took this over

Xanlamin 08-18-2008 06:13 PM

If it will be a freash install it is very simple, just upload the files and import the product. If it is an upgrade you must backup the stated DB tables then delete them, uninstall the previous version with all template edits taken out, then upload the files and import the product then you can re-add the db tables back in. Doing the DB tables that way will save all your users awards they have recieved and they will not lose any.

dknelson 08-19-2008 12:31 AM

I upgraded from 2.1.4 (or whatever it was) to this version. The upgrade went fine and all seems to be working. The only problem is that there is no longer a link to the awards page in the nav bar. Should there be? Does it have to be added manually?

I ended up manually editing the Navbar, adding a link to the awards page. I'll watch this thread for answer though.

This is a great mod. I DID nominate it for MOTM

ssandgirls 08-19-2008 03:46 AM

Just wondering how server intense this hack is...

Will it add much load, Im on shared hosting, and would like to make sure its not going to slow anything down...

many thanks

Xanlamin 08-19-2008 04:34 AM

I have not noticed any extra load on my server, I am also in the process of turning all my images into .png which will make it load faster on the main awards page and for users who have a lot of awards in there profile.

Scarface Claw 08-19-2008 07:40 AM

When ever I add a user to an award I get this error:

Quote:

Warning: mysql_insert_id() [function.mysql-insert-id]: A link to the server could not be established in [path]/admincp/award.php on line 581

______

Whenever I click on the medal, the total awards or the awrds showcase links in the postpit I get :

Quote:

Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.
^That's using firefox 3, with IE I get a blank page.

The above message is also displayed if I try to veiw a members profile page who has been awarded a medal, members with no medals awarded have profile pages can be viewed without error.

check this thread to see what I mean:
http://www.gamers-gateway.com/vb/sho...587#post411587

I have re upped the files into their folders on the server and uninstalled and reinstalled the xml through the plugin manager a few times.

Any ideas?

You know, the more I've thought about this, I actually kind of glad that a link is not automatically inserted into the Navbar. There are several mods that do so and the bar gets a bit crowded. I have double Navbars on my site and by adding it manually, I was able to put it in the additional bar.

Xanlamin 08-19-2008 11:24 PM

This is why we do not have it auto adding it, since we do not know how many navbars people have nor which they would want it in anyways, it is always better to leave it up to them if they want to add it and where. My site for example does not have it in the navbar at all, since I have it in the navigation menu in vBAdvanced.

We will look into using that version of Firefox, I am still on 2.0.

lostguy 08-20-2008 03:54 AM

Scarface Claw 08-20-2008 04:03 AM

In the Manage Awards you will see the persons name listed twice, check the box of one of them and remove them.

Scarface Claw 08-20-2008 07:47 AM

Fresh.

Xanlamin 08-21-2008 11:35 PM

ok, checking into it.

BucWiLd 08-22-2008 12:03 AM

does this cause any issues with vbcedits or vb experience?

Scarface Claw 08-22-2008 12:25 AM

I am using vBcredits, could this be causing a conflict?

lostguy 08-22-2008 03:17 AM

At least you have a user profile, my users profiles dont show at all if they have been given an award.

This does not have any conflicts with vbcredits, I run it as well on my site.

I highly doubt it, disable vbcredits and see if it is resolved, if not then vbcredits is not the problem.

Please disable ALL other running mods and see if you still have the problem, I am unable to reproduce many of the issues that you all are having, so I am led to believe your issues are a conflict with another mod

Same as above please.

We are wanting to resolve your issues but if we can not reproduce the issue we have no way to check what the problems are.

Thank you for your assistance in advance.

I disabled all the products and it did not resolve the issue. Can you please provide me the code to add into the user profile so the awards will show up? I will just manually add it until this is resolved. Thank you.

Xanlamin 08-23-2008 03:16 AM

To do that you need to run this version and the code I used in posted in that thread also.
