A small question:
If i buy the expanded version would i be able to see how many thanks i've received and how many i've given?

Im having trouble with vbadvanced. Text is hidden correctly when viewing a post but when viewing the vbadvanced home page it shows the code plus the hidden contents.

Any ideas?

Yes, vB Advanced needs an additional file modification to work with the hack, since it is not a part of vBulletin. Here's a quote of old instructions, which hopefully will work:

Seems it's working good, but I don't know how it parsed in mail, because I have posted message under test account and I've got admin email without parsing:

I've installed this addon, but if i write [hide]-Tags, they are not posted to the post. If checked the Version in the Readme and used only the code for 3.7, but nots happen.

If i post a thread/reply with hide tag, they are not posted.

Email was sent to me by notification system, when new messages are posted in section.


Did you apply all the file changes?
E-mails should be processed such that all hidden text is stripped out of there, so that's a bug. Unless you haven't done one or more file changes correctly, which I'd like you to check.

You certainly haven't installed something correctly. Because the permission works, I have checked.

And you probably don't see buttons in the editor, either? If so, please check all permissions: vBulletin Options, Forum Options, and Usergroup Permissions.

P.S.: In my way I think it's better to use words "above" and "after" instead of "underneath" in manual. ;)

3.7 GOLD. PL1/PL2/3.7.1/3.7.2 do not have any relevant changes that could break the hack.

Um... I'm just curious. Since you have posted this nonsense in public, what does your site have to do with my accepting the payment? You don't even have the hack before I do what you asked, so how can your site be affected by it?

Hi, Psionic

I've updated our vBulletin release to 3.7.2 and make all the necessary changes.
If I load our Site with an empty cache the thanks.gif are not showing so our user are not able to see tha THX Replay Button.
If I swich the forum style to another and come back to the first loadet style and thread I can see the thanks.gif and the THX Replay button is now on the well know place.

In the first instange our user can't see the Thx REPLAY Button.
After swiching the style the button is now visible.

Does anybody have any clou, why?

It is not necessary, however you ain't getting the popup message without editing that file. Please look carefully the "this is for 3.6, that is for 3.7" notes, and search for the RIGHT ONE. It's different from 3.5 to 3.6, and from 3.6 to 3.7.

ya I am checking for 3.7 :) some of the edits are same for all the versions like the one I have mentioned above

The one with "enter parameters here". For the hide tag, the parameter is the number of posts. For the showtogroups tag, the parameter is the list of usergroups.

Without that edit, it's also going to insert and without the "=xxx" at the end of the opening tag. As a result, the showtogroups tag won't work at all, and HIDE will always be set to 5 posts (or whatever you set in the admincp).

So if you don't mind... Please contact me via pm so that I can tell you where to send the textedit.js file (so that I can take a look at it). And also, which minor release of vBulletin 3.7 is it for?

Wow, that's a major problem. I'm sure your site is going to crash because of one uncached templates. To be serious, here's a fix:

In the Hide Hack Resurrection plugin at cache_templates hook, find:

Hi, i have Installed the Hack on the forum, but i have the following issues:

I have problems with the hack not showing the thanks given icon and info below the user information displayed on Thread / Replies, just the Thanks Received are shown:

I have double and triple check the modification on the files, upload everything to the correct folder, and nothing, i have uninstalled and installed again the application and nothing help, what could be causing this issue? which template should i check?

On the other hand, i have tried to set the Super Administrators Group as (Can always see hidden conten to NO), and they still are able to do so, is it possible to manage this?

Does this add extra queries to each page? Will "show new threads" show new threads which aren't actually new unless you have the specific post count mentioned in the last post? Is the page count correct, etc?

No. They can still edit posts or see the text via other administrative means. Otherwise they ain't administrators.

ok, this is really a great hack

but when we come to vbadvanced it's really useless..

I mean, all the contents and links that are hidden on threads are not on vbadvanced news template.. and that is just not ok..

if you can fix this or find any solution, I think this Mod will be more near to be complete..

this issue is really annoying for me and for most of my members

I've tried what you post in HERE.. but that didn't work and gives me an error which says:
