Nice hack. Thanks for sharing
|
It works great in 3.7 RC1 .
Nice Job thx for sharing |
installed thanx bofo you number one ;)
|
It seems to be working for me, but I'm not sure about the config piece. Does this resolve the issue where it shows a ZERO on the forums page. Then, it shows as a googlebot when you click on it. If so, how do I go about it?
"NOTE: There is one file edit that I have not found a way to get around yet. It is a special template cache that must be used with this. The easiest way to do it is add the file edit to the includes/config.php. Since this file does not change as often, you should be fine on most upgrades. This is the ONLY file edit." |

You need to FTP in to your config.php file and do it.

Thanks for the help so far, by the way. |
You need to use a text editor. How did you edit it to get your site up? That would be the same way you need to do it. ;)

So, I haven't done much aside from all of the hacks and adjustments since the initial setup. :) Lucky me...until it comes to times like this. :( |
Do you have the FTP detail for your site? I can edit it if you want. Just PM me.

|
thanks

Good Deal Boofo
|
Hey, Boofo! I installed this on my 3.7.0 RC3 forum, and it doesn't seem to work at all. I followed all the steps, and tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it 3 times. I edited the Config.php, as well.Could the coding have changed?
|
Nope, nothing has changed that would affect this hack. What is not working?
|
It's not showing on the Who's Online Box at all.
EDIT: Woops..It's working now. I edited a fresh copy of my config.php, and reuploaded. Now it works! Sorry for bothering you! You do great work! |
Did you enable the Who's Online spider display in the vb settings in the Admin CP?

Thanks Boofo  |
very nice hack, thanks installed :)
|
What do I need to edit in the config file, I don't understand? at the moment it says 0 spiders even though there are several about, so I'm guessing I failed at the config stuff, can you explain it in more detail?
I'm sing 3.7.0 RC4 |
The install file tells you exactly what you need to do with the config.php file edit.
|
Hey, Is there anyone will to share the already edit plugin that contains more spiders? Also I've followed the guide correctly (I think) but when I check Currently Active Users: 36 (11 members, 25 guests and 0 spiders), but I check who's online and it says 8?
http://www.eternal-network.org/forum/index.php http://www.eternal-network.org/forum/online.php Hmm. I've done the config.php. |
I see this:
Currently Active Users: 28 (18 members, 7 guests and 3 spiders) Looks like it's working to me. Please click install. ;) |
Great Job!
Thanks... |
Yeah I fixed it :p.
|
Well... how did you fix it?
|
hello!
how to get bold names of spiders on who is on line? regards macc |
Not sure how you would do that for the Who's Online as this hack only touches the spider count on that page.
|
|
I know what you meant! ;)
Maybe ask someone on that site how they did it? It looks like they have made everything bold. Via CSS, most likely. |
i used your hack and i think maybe you know best... ha
thanks macc |
Great mod, Shows spiders. Is there anything to block them from entering? Thanks Dave
|
Do the Google dance for robots.txt. ;)
