That is a 3.5x forum. This is a 3.6x product. See my signature. |
Can there be a auto rotation added? Or does this exist already and I don't know how to execute that option? Thanks! Great mod BTW!
|
Every location has a separate random code rotation ability.
|
Great Hack... exactly what I was looking for - Thanks
But my ads only display when users are registered... is there a way to display them all the time? (Or did I miss something?) |
It's displayed according to your Usergroup settings in Global Settings. Guests are Usergroup 1.
|
Is it possible to display different kinds of Ads to users (special groups) and/or Guests? (likes Guests get bigger Ads, a Group of users did not get Ads and all others get standard size ads).
|
The threadbit advertisement is GREAT except for the fact that it messes up alignment (I'm using Adsense).
Thus, when the threads are listed with advertisement, it makes everything too wide and the user has to scroll to the right to see the entire screen. Any way to fix this? |

w000t! its the best one :)!! i love it...
Thanks alot :p (already installed) |
Some bugs/problems I've noticed:
Adsense ads in thread causes the screen to be too wide, making users scroll right to see the whole page. Also noticed that with first and last post ads activated, the first and last poster's user profile link (their user name) no longer works. It will not click nor give a drop-down menu. |

There's nothing I can do about the Adsense size. The forum will expand to fit whatever sized banners you use. If you want a smaller forum, use smaller banners. Someone else mentioned the drop-down menu problem earlier and I said it didn't exist, but I checked again out of suspicion and it's only happening in Internet Explorer. So this is either yet another bug to add to Internet Explorer's impressive collection, or there's something in the advertisement code causing the problem. I can think of nothing in the Ad Management code that would cause it, the Ad code is included after the drop-down menu code. Does the drop-down issue still occur if you use non-Adsense banner code? Just an image or something. Edit: Click install or you'll miss updates. |

Thanks RedTyger... I'm new to vb - so I'm just going to find out about usergroups :)
|
this looks pretty cool. is it possible to only display this type of ad? that one seems the least intrusive, and i would like to limit the ads to only that one...
|
Yes. That's the postbit setting/location. You can turn any ad location on/off independantly and the postbit location has three further on/off settings (Private Messages, Announcements, Posts).

The drop-down menu is an Internet Explorer bug, version 6 is all I've tested. To fix it, instead of pasting $postbit_advertisement at the bottom of the template: FIND: <!-- post $post[postid] popup menu --> ABOVE, ADD $postbit_advertisement This just moves the ad code so that the drop-down code comes after it instead of before. Why this would make a difference I can't imagine, but there you go. |
Hi
I dont have in my header template, Can you advise anywhere else to put this please? Code:
$header_advertisement |
Just put it in and see if it's where you want it? I can't take wild guesses for custom templates. Worst thing that can happen is you have to move it or delete it. :)
The default location places it on the right opposite the vBulletin logo. |
Ok m8 will do cheers :)
|
Does this support vBadvanced??
|
If you search this thread, someone did have it working with vBA. It's a very small change to make.
Edit: My bad, unless you want it in the navbar it works with vBA out of the box. |
nice mod,
|

yes that is correct
|
Hm. I can't really support interaction with other mods, it's a wild goose chase I'm afraid. But a wild guess: Try opening my modification in an editor and changing all instances of
Code:
executionorder="5" Code:
executionorder="4" |
Does this have any sort of tracking to provide advertisers with how effective their ad has been? Any back end for them to log in and see these results or to have a report sent?
|
Ditto to fusiongoddess, I too would like this feature as not all advertising is Google. Though Google is great! Thanks, rg.

This add-on is almost, if not fully, PERFECT!
Excellent work and thanks for sharing it ...now I've got to find me some paying sponsors ;) |
- updated to 2.1! :) Thanks again.
|
great work thumbs up :)
Installed.. |
this mod is just awesome. thank you so much
i have only one problem, the banners are only shown for users that are registered and logged in. guests are not seeing any banners... is there a way to solve that? |
I would like to ask if this can be used for Adsense Revenue Sharing just what Digital Point Forums did on their forum. Basically, the Adsense ads will display in the header, after first post, and in the last post. When the thread starter has inputted an Adsense ID in the User CP, he has a 50% chance that his Adsense ads will show on the header, after first post and last post.
Is this possible? |
