I've installed this but nothing changes at all. What could I be doing wrong? My version is 3.6.8 p2. Thanks!!

just installed on same version & its perfect :up:

I've just installed it and worked great.

But I have some sob-forums working as categories inside a forum and the mod is separating all those sub-forums as individual ones. I know this is possible but I just can't figure out how to keep them together just like original.

Can someone give me a tip for ?

figured out the problem...i was not using the "act as forum=no" option in the forum manager. Once I did that the effects were implemented immediately ...but I'm not sure if I am crazy about the "forum" heading over each category. plan to play around with it a little more.

I was about to edit my template for 3.7 beta 6, then I thought I will install this and see what happens. Works great :D

this is a great hack and thanks for it, it works flawlessly on my 3.6.8 board. but i do have a modification question for you, at the top of each new seperated forum, where it says forum - the "heading", how can i change this word 'forum' for something else?

Anybody? its driving me nuts trying to do it lol

I am having this problem as well. For now I just hard coded a generic title, but it would be nice if it actually called the first forum title correctly.

That's a limitation that can't be solved without template edits. And this mod is about separating them without those edits ...

Great plugin! To make the functionality even better on my forum i would like to switch the 'topic-threads-replies balk' with the 'catagory balk' just like as on this forum. Mayby if it is possible it is a nice idea to add to the plugin.

Hey everyone if you're having issues with the with of the columns from one block to the next, just adjust those percentages in the FORUMHOME, FORUMDISPLAY, forumhome_seperate_forumcats templates that KURTZ mentioned towards the top of this page. I changed my "Last_Post", "Posts", and "Threads" percentages a bit. It took a few minutes because it's all trial and error but hey... you own a website.

Solved. I deleted my Thread Prefixes for that subforum, now the columns are all the same.

You sure you adjusted everything correctly?

Try this... after copying the section we're talking about in your FORUMHOME, FORUMDISPLAY, and forumhome_seperate_forumcats templates and saving them somewhere else just to be safe, replace them with this...

We are running 3.7 anyhow, but a lot of 3.6 mods work on it, just this one didn't happen to.

So does this work with the latest version of vbulletin 3.7.4?

Works fine with latest version, I'm using 3.7.4. had problems with wonky forums and nothing lining up, Played around with all these template edits, got no where, The answer was staring me right in the face

Goto> vbulletin options> Forum Listings Display Options> scroll down> find> Last Thread Title Maximum Displayed Characters > set to 20 and save...

Now works a treat, thought i'd share it here

I have tried this, but they are still all squashed to the right. The only one that I couldn't do is: forumhome_seperate_forumcats I don't have one of those unser my FORUMHOME or anywhere else that I can see.

Can you help me on this please?
