It would be nice if this could be confirmed. Either by another user who installed, or the master coder. If it interferes with the RSS poster, than it won't work for me.

Are you saying that you don't have any problems with your RSS feeds running this mod? Ever since I disabled it on my site the RSS feeds work fine..

No, I'm saying I don't have this installed, and won't if it indeed interferes with RSS feeds. I see one report that it does. Waiting for others to confirm or deny.

Do me a favor.. Install it if your RSS feeds stop working all you need to do is disable it.. I would like to know if it's just my site or the mod.

It's simple, yet quite effective for stopping spammers from posting links and it doesn't seem to interfere with the RSS feeds.

That one just does links as this one controls post counts per forum as well, and that was one of the big winners for me.. Thanks anyway..

Hm, what is it doing to your RSS threads exactly? The PM option is very nice..

The RSS cron jobs will run but they do not post in the forums..

How do you have your RSS user set up?

I have my RSS Poster Bot as an admin on the forums, so he's exempt from any restrictions ( or should be )

I do as well. I have even selected me as the RSS poster

would it be difficult to add link posting permissions that also apply to signatures? One of the latest things I have spammers doing is linking pictures to their sigs

As suggestions, you could make it based on registration time. Example: only after 10 days from the registration and after 10 posts the user can send PM

Yep, installing this hack killed my RSS feeds also.

Another strange issue is that its worked perfectly except for two instances. i had two people sign up in my forums the last two days, both spammers, both made single posts with dozens of links, which they should not be able to do until they have 10 posts.

Do you have auto parse links enabled or disabled? I have had the same thing happen but the links were not parsed (Not Clickable)

I had to uninstall this on all my sites because it interferes with articlebot. I believe it intereferes with the default rss poster as well.

Glad to know I am not the only one experiencing the RSS issue. Maybe the developer will take a look at it.

So the limits you set in the vBoptions in admincp also affect the RSS.

It does not matter. Code Monkey and I have been working on this error for a few days. If you have this installed, no matter what the settings are, it will stop both the articlebot and the VB RSS automated postings in its tracks.

Once I also uninstalled it, they both started working again just fine

This is a great modification, I take nothing away from Cyb's development at all, It just needs to have the corrections made to bypass the RSS feeds and/or articlebot!

This is the same issue that arose when Amykar had her similar hack. Scripts that post or do things in the background have sessions and all the userinfo stuff turned off since it's a waste of resources and not needed for the task at hand. Therefor this mod can't really tell how many posts the poster has and will disallow it.

What would be nice is if Jelsoft would add a constant to vBulletin. Such as "IS_BOT". Then hacks could check if that is set and not perform their task of moderating the post.

I love the idea behind this hack and cyb is a great coder. I have many of his acks installed on my site.

But since I've installed this on my board, I cannot log in. I'm trying to disable the plugins, but not sure how.

Would love to use this but it will not install at all. :( I'm using version 3.6.4 When I go to manage products, browse for the plugin file and then click on import my browser just hangs there. I tried it on both firefox & IE 7. I tried installing it manually through the file itself instead of browsing for the file, nothing. Would love to use this because I really need it. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Will this only prevent incoming RSS feeds from working, or will it affect other sites that use my site as an outgoing RSS feed as well?

I have problem - user have enought posts to wiev forum BUT it still shows "No permission to view last post.." where it should show last post in this forum.
How to fix it?

even if the Requirement is 0.

I would appreciate a Fix for that.
