jluerken 08-08-2006 12:13 PM

I am running it with 3.6 and its working fine

Darwa 08-08-2006 06:35 PM

Was it installed before you upgraded to 3.6.0?

outlaw621 08-08-2006 06:37 PM

I have heard back from churchmedia and with his permission I am releasing the port of this hack for 3.6
Enjoy!

with your port, are you able to change the cron job time setting? i cannot.

Shazz 09-15-2006 06:19 PM

Yea, Cron job won't work for any version of V/B

outlaw621 09-15-2006 06:21 PM

Cron Works fine. You can change it the same way you would change any other cron entry.

SCRIPT3R 09-15-2006 08:08 PM

i'm just letting you know that i cannot change the run time for your port. i can edit the settings, but am not able to save it. bascially what's happening is that you don't have the following fields pre-labled so the user has to do them, unlike before. your port works, it's just a bit incomplete. once i fill in the missing info, then everything works.

Well it seems as if you click RUN NOW it will work.. But on its own it won't

Lionel 09-29-2006 04:23 PM

can someone confirm that the new zip works fine in 3.60?

what new zip? if you're talking about the one posted a few posts above, it's already been confirmed that it DOES NOT fully work. but it does work for the most part.

Lionel 09-29-2006 05:58 PM

what does not work? just the cron part? (the most important on)

SCRIPT3R 09-29-2006 06:06 PM

i have two live forums and one test forum. the cron - it's hit and miss on all of them so i uninstalled it. from what i remember is that there were some predefined fields that were not filled in. if you went in and took care of those, it should work fully. i just didn't want to bother with it for whatever reason, but i cant remember why.

Does this work with 3.6.2 or not?

Andreas, have you planned to fix this and release 3.6.x version?

It doesn't work for me. It doesn't work even I run cron job manually. I've read FAQ and I'm sure all options are configured properly, "Forbid..." hack is not installed, tried to re-install etc... no luck.

Shazz 11-11-2006 08:32 PM

Same here, even on the 3.5.4 it still didn't work for me =\

Mudvayne 12-20-2006 06:37 AM

Works for me if I run the cron job manually. Otherwise it doesn't create the thread.

That seemed to be a problem in the 3.5.4 or which ever version you use

Mudvayne 12-20-2006 02:37 PM

I'm using 3.6.4 & I miss Andreas in vB.org :(.

HPIA 01-18-2007 11:19 PM

Does this work with 3.6.4?

shelaby 01-21-2007 11:35 PM

Not in my forum. I have no phrases for my forum, only for ACP and Mail. I use Version 3.6.4
Could me help someone please?

The Finman 01-25-2007 05:56 AM

The update version in thread 10 by picardtux works...sort of.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...6&d=1164875214

However I can't edit message areas.

When I try I get...

Everyone still seems to be looking help, as this is a popular hack.

picardtux, has done good trying to upgrade it. I just wish we could get the last few bugs out of it. :(

Stop 03-01-2007 08:15 AM

Can some one release a supported version for 3.6 ?

Can you manually edit the bdaygreet phrase?

Tralala 03-27-2007 12:10 AM

Running vB 3.6.4 here. I have version 1.0.1 of this installed and it's been running fine (cron job included.) I do get the "No Phrases Matched Your Query" when I click the links to edit the message text... but it looks like I can manually edit it via the bdaygreet phrase. My working setup could be because I've had it installed all the while, back when I was on vB 3.5, and have just updated vB on top of it, but I'm not sure. I just know it works.

I have not yet tried the "updates" provided by others in this thread (outlaw621, picardtux) ... but based on feedback it sounds like they wouldn't add/fix anything, anyway.

I would very much like to see if there's a way to include the birthday person's AVATAR in their birthday thread. I realize this would require the AdminCP setting of "Allow Dynamic URL for [IMG] Tags" to be set to YES, and I currently can do this manually. But with that, how difficult would it be to enhance this to allow the inclusion of avatar's in the birthday posting?

Puntoboy 05-27-2007 08:24 AM

Can anyone help me here.

For some strange reason, the title of the thread has started being wrong. when the thread is created, it puts the date in the thread title, but this is different from the dates against each members name.

The dates of the members birthdays is correct but the date on the thread title is a day behind.

For example:

This thread was created today, May 27th at 00:05

Quote:

Dear Community,

Here are today's birthdays!

sarahbaby was born on May 27, 1969 (Age: 38)
D4N D C was born on May 27, 1983 (Age: 24)
Ihaveapunto was born on May 27, 1987 (Age: 20)
alyn@swcc was born on May 27, 1988 (Age: 19)
mattyc07 was born on May 27, 1988 (Age: 19)
nitro-cad was born on May 27, 1989 (Age: 18)
jaysporting was born on May 27, 1989 (Age: 18)

Have a great birthday!
Yet the title of the thread is

Quote:

Happy Birthday on 26th May 2007
It had been working fine for ages, then all of a sudden it started doing this.

SCRIPT3R 05-27-2007 05:09 PM

did you upgrade your forum lately?

Puntoboy 05-28-2007 11:11 AM

Yes, but it started long before I did that.

Puntoboy 05-28-2007 10:11 PM

Very strange.

If I run the cron job manually, it works perfectly. If I let it run at it's specified time, it does it wrong.

SledgeHammer101 06-10-2007 09:34 PM

How did you got the cron job working ? It doensn't works at my forum. Did you made any changes on it ?
