Yes it is a hog. The bandwith useage depends on "# of users connected" and the quility of the song in kbps.

uploadspeed / bitrate = max listeners , always leave some for overhead

example in your case 256k uploadspeed / 56k bitrate = max 4 listeners ( 4* 56 = 224kbps ) keep in mind that your provider says he gives you 256kbps upload, the actual speed might be much lower.

will this support id3 tags?

at the song is determined from the file name and not the tags info and i'd prefer to have the tag info supported.

The ID3v1 transmits from your DJ (or other source) to the shoutcast server. This will not use file names. (if you do not fill out the ID3v1 tag the output will be a dash " - "

that´s a nice hack but i have one question.

If is possible, you coding two shoutcast servers in this hack? I will control it from two sides.
explain: My Co-Admin will play Music at 8 o´clock and i am at ten o´clock. If is possible?

This hack does not create a server for you.
It simply displays current information from any existing shoutcast server.

Okay, i will display 2 different shoutcast server. If the first offline, the second stream music and the other way round.
The first server is my own, the second server are from my Co-Admin.
