Im not going to start a debate about all this because i have no hatred towards Germans :)

But it was Hitler's secret service during his time in power. He used them to eliminate his threats to power and squash the slightest opposition - all with force :)

Actually that's the S.S (a sub-division of the S.A). The Gestapo was mostly in charge of ruling Jews and other minorities in occupied lands and sending them to extermination camps.

Well it's Gestapo longer Geheime Staatspolizei -> Secret Statepolice.
They have had a lot to do this times....
But this times are gone... very long ago, most of the people here haven't lived in the past....

To extend Chens post: The gestapo has had a lot of work in germany to find traitors...
