Ha! This is exactly how I solved the unsolvable problem, of a big brother ten years older, who when the ice cream man was coming would hold a quarter in his hand and not let you have it unless you snatched it out of his hand, taken from the old "Kung Fu" TV series where the master would do this, with a pebble. When the student was able to snatch the pebble, he was ready to graduate.
I never could snatch the quarter. He was just too fast and the pressure of the ice cream truck passing by was just too great for the 6 year old I was.
Then one day, the solution came to me - slap the frikkin thing out of his hand! My solution to the Gordian Knot earned me ice cream - but also, a beating at the hands of the defeated brother.
