This is what I was able to do with this mod, with a few template edits, I made it into a new section for my sidebar :)

can there be an option to display this at the bottom of forumhome? also maybe an option to display the icons of the social groups instead of the name? that way it could be a smaller little cluster of icons.

Good point. I may try this over the weekend, but I'll be hard pressed to keep it if it's not collapsible. It would be good to have an option to set the default for either collapsed or expanded in the admin settings.

how do I set it available to all usergroups without key all their ID each into the "Usergroups ID can use Latest Thread"?

I wish it did this also rather than showing when the group was created.
