Easy... so for example "X years, X months and X days since X event". A birthday, an anniversary, etc.

I think going by some of the requests made on here sofar, people are more keen on graphical countdown tickers as opposed to just a basic text timer.

Something similar to the ones i paid to have developed: http://www.theparentingsanctuary.com...rTPS/index.php

I dare say they are a LOT more complex, though... you can also get premade scripts of a similar nature on the web for a set pricetag.

No idea if anybody on VB would be willing to go to that extent or not to get a similar outcome....

there seems to be problem with counting down the exact time. I select 1 hour and 0 second and it says 33 minutes till your count down event.

One of our old sites, which we should revamp, tickertag.com has a good mix of counters.
Will try to see if we can hack this to a countup event to..

How did you fix your problem so I know for future?

For some reason the double posting... it added a code to postbit_legacy althou this might have been from a previous install, I reverted postbit_legacy and that sorted it..

To fix the "Select" days Issue I had I edited the phrases countdown_days and countdown_hours which had the text of "select"

again this may have been from the previous install..

All is well now and I thank you for porting this to 3.7 as my users love it

Strange everything works, but i cant see the timer in my sig??

This would be perfect for our site! Folks counting down to a vacation to Disney especially.

An icon or some sort of small pic would be great. In my case I'd use a little Mickey or something. But, for birthdays we could use a little birthday cake as someone suggested.

I'm going to watch this mod as it will be something for me to add in the near future once (if) these little 'customizations' can happen. :D

Great job!

I decided to test this mod out and found a quirky little thing. It wouldn't show unless you had something (I put a period) in the actual signature. If you had a blank signature, the countdown wouldn't show. Is that a bug?

No this isn't a bug. :)

vB doesn't show a signature block unless there is something set to show in the signature options. ;)

Interesting. Then just something I have to make sure that my members understand. :D

Most of them have some sort of something in the sig, so I won't have many issues at all. Thanks Howell!
