To be good at coding is a sign of a well-rounded education, to be too good at coding is a sign of a mis-spent youth.

Come on, I am 16... Staff on a coding forum, have a ton of unused code, know about 8 languages, and has moved into learning computer programming (with one application in full development).

Mis-spent youth? I don't think so. You tell me.

I still stand by that, King hehe.

I'm also 16, and know a few languages. However, I would never go into a coding profession, it is just something I do purely as an hobby. :)

At 16, you should be enjoying life, going out with mates, and having a good time!

I also re-arranged my post above, it came out wrong lol.

Yeah. I am going into Software Engineering / Computer Engineering... :D LOL. And what life?

That's great King and I wish you the very best of luck. I'm actually going onto an apprenticeship for Plumbing / Gas. So, I may be able to code, but I do not and will never do it as a job! :)

Cooties ?

Brad 04-28-2008 06:02 PM

(Not sure if this is only an American thing)

It's a fake "virus" that one can catch from the other sex.

Most young boys in elementary school will say you have "cooties" if you are friends with a girl. Girls will say the same to each other if they see one near a guy. Basically it's one of the many ways that they tease each other.

The whole "girls vs. boys" thing.

It's just one of them childhood things... Most of the time the end result is a guy chasing a around girl or vice-versa on the playground.

By the time you get to middle school (grade 6) the whole cootie phase has passed. :)

Hope you understood that. :p

... some have to use google more often
