I was hoping this would also be system that allows your users to send out e-mails to others. You know their screename would be their web-address: "vbulletin@vbulletin.com". Is this in the full version?

There is a hack for this, and I can't recall the name... Ours is for the admins and owners of the forums.

How do you know and figure? They aren't sent out as CC, you set your own settings to whatever you need, it's speculation rather than facts, where do you see this happening because it's coming from your FORUMS.... So you configure it to your likings! Maybe you have had a raw deal with some can't just going around speculating on something you haven't installed, if you aren't posting in retrospect to our hack I asked that you not post in our description.

Thanks!

Can you post the link here once you've remembered?

blogtorank 08-21-2007 12:23 PM

Yeah and I think he's still in BETA... Having issues or something on it... I can't think of the name of it...

Nevermind here you go: vBulletin Mail System

SO you are telling me, you want this inside the system to where a member (client) of yours has to (pay) subscribe to receive an e-mail from you?

If so it can be done.

No I think there may have been some confusion before.

Basically the paid subscriptions in vbulletin when someone signs up and buys something from the forums/payments.php page there is no email/pm notification sent to them. For people who use the paid subscriptions in vbulletin for one thing or another, it is quite often very useful to set up a email/pm notification to say thanks, or to let them know what they have to do next, or to let them know what features that now have access to etc. but currently there is only one mod on vbulletin.org that does this, but it is buggy.

I pretty much want the exact same mod that I showed you before (the premium version of it), with the extra feature I suggested (being able to set up unique emails for each different subscription you have set up) and without the bugs that it comes with.

If that was provided in this mod (or as a separate mod) but I think it comes under the inclusion of this mod as it is a All in One Email solution. It would really make my day!

Thanks.

Okay guess we have to make your day, I'll add this in here for a release as now the confusion is set aside, long day here we rolled out one big release and another one right after this one.

Anyhow, I may be contacting you for BETA this portion, when I fit it into the schedule.

Thanks again for your suggestion make sure you go see our new "Sorry We Are Closed" Forums Mod :)

OK when I visit /admincp/vbmailer_config.php I get a blank page. I have uploaded the file in ASCII mode and I have installed the product.

Maybe you could have a "vbMailer" option in "vBulletin Options" instead. :)

Page 4 of the 22 page manual, read that :) Covers it all in there for you on manually setting this, if you want it in the usercp/ that's covered in the FULL version already!

Show me the buggy solution that you are referencing so I can see what you mean fully.

Side note: It is an all-in-one solution already, not another hack is like this!

Best regards,

This is interesting, and we will be looking into this.

Keep them coming!

Looking good. I've been thinking about sending out an email over on the phpLD Forums. This might come in handy.
