Description: Virtual American Airlines is a site dedicated to simulating real world American Airlines operations, by using Microsoft's Flight Simulator software to allow it's members (pilots) to fly scheduled AA flights and subsequently accumulate flight hours.

Reason for Nomination: We at Virtual American Airlines strive on quality and this is clearly apparent by the way we maintain and operate our website. But what really sets us apart from the rest of the Virtual Airlines in the flightsimming community is our family-oriented environment. We have been together as a "family" since the year 2000. We originally started out as a Virtual Airline named AirPUERTORICO.

We then went through some changes and transitions, but throughout all these years, we have stayed together. I really hope you guys enjoy our website. Like I said before, we are all about quality and putting out the best that we have to offer.

The new dynamic homepage makes use of Ajax and CSS, plus personalization, to give you an alternative view into the forums, or forum category, or forum itself. You now have an ability to sort by various measures of popularity (a mix of diggs, replies, views, and time) or last post time (ie latest threads), and the HP will remember your preference the next time you come back. This provides you a more intuitive insight into where the action is in the forums and allows people to find valuable and interesting content in areas of the site they might normally have noticed, due to our size and depth.

Reason for Nomination: I just want to know what others think about the site (mostly the design), and also would like to advertise a wee bit, just to increase traffic ;) This is not first support board in Poland, but it's most professional so far (others are really bad). I think it will change the vBulletin scene in Poland, as we're quite nicely located on google and people do appreciate our support.

Reason for Nomination: What started out as a simple discussion forum a year ago has blossomed into a pro-active software development and support advocacy group. Our members all work for non-profits and use the forum to get the most out of their Blackbaud software investment.

We feature a custom skin to match our Joomla and Pligg integrations, and a tendency towards hacks that encourage user participation and revisiting the site such as cyricx's Instant Email Notification, ChipIn donation widgets, and the vbGeek's Geek Gazette newsletter. We have embedded a demofuse.com site tour on the front page as well.

Blackbaud has about 15,000 clients and we have almost 10% of that clientbase in our membership.

Reason for Nomination: This is the best looking Gator sports forum on the web. The site isn't even a year old and we have a solid membership. Along with the custom design, Gator Envy also has many created content pages and uses a dozen mods.
