Crawlability INC. has a right to choose which type of boards can use their product. The product allows you to gain better rankings in serarch engines. In a way vBSEO handles the sites most marketing strategies and Crawlability Inc choose not to market some type of boards which are all mentioned in EULA. Only respective companies can choose this way because if they didn't have an EULA like this they will easily double their sales. But respect is way more important then money. You shall realise this also...

You are really funny :D

Did i say he steal the code ? No ...
What i say , i cant have any claim like that because i have no chance to check both products codes.

But what i say is on the feature area. Every feature is same with vBSEO even most of the feature names are same. Even a 6 year old kid can see this.

I love vbSEO. However, the fact that they limit the content of boards that they sell their software too makes it lucrative to offer a similar product without those content restrictions.

I didn't say vbSEO didn't have the right, I simply said that they censorship is a limitation for their software that developers such as the developer of NuSEO are perfectly justified in trying to profit from.

Sorry. I misread this quote:

If i said he stole the ripped the code of vBSEO then you may call it insulting but i didn't have a claim like that since i don't have a chance to compare both product codes.
I missed the "If I said" :) My mistake.

Regardless, he is perfectly justified in creating a product similar to vbseo. He is not behaving unethically.

Noone expect coder of the product can know that...

Attilitus 07-17-2007 03:49 AM

What do you mean by that?

Edit: ... Vague accusations and implied meanings have no place here. If you have an accusation to make regarding the developer of nuSEO, just make it.

The coder i believe ElfMage is the only person who will know all everything on NuSEO.PHP , you cannot say he is not behaving unethically or i can't say he is behaving unethically. Only Elfmage can have the right knowledge on this. We can just have our own judgements.

Attilitus, he didn't say Nuhit stole the code, he said the features were similar.

/me raises the white flag and goes away

Attilitus 07-17-2007 03:55 AM

I know. I misread that quote. Sorry about that. :)

Well... he wrote the code of nuSEO himself modeling the features that it offered after vbSEO. He didn't copy the code, because (as I made a bit TOO much of a fuss about) vbSEO is encoded which makes it impossible to steal the source code.

As far as I'm concerned, because he wrote it himself, is selling it for a price lower than vbseo and is offering features that critics of vbseo have wanted, he is behaving ethically.

It promotes your forum by showing that there :D

Looks pretty cool so far. I'm looking forward to checking it out when it's released. :)
