So let's get this straight, you installed a hack made specifically for 3.6.1 on a heavily modified forum that's only 3.5.3, and when it doesn't work you complain? It would be more surprising if it did work ;)

That would be my guess.

He utilizes the Zoints Network. We take care of our own. And we want this to work for as many people as possible. If there are minor bugs, you guys can fix them. If there is a mysql incompatibility, we'll get stuff like that fixed.

A lot of question's about that.

But thank you for sharing this fantastic work

Indeed. But the hope is that the community would come together to make the necessary changes. That's the point of open source. I think the vBulletin.org community has become too reliant on a few programmers lately. People need to start to work together.

My site is 3.6.1 and I am not complaining about the product. I am complaining about some of the attitudes in this thread....

It's Saturday and yes, our guys fell asleep ;). I have an engineer sitting next to me who is playing World of Warcraft after putting in more than 75 hours of coding in the last 5 days.

And it sounds like the bug is php related. If you're running php 5, you'll be fine. php 4 returns those errors. Thanks to Danny for figuring that out. And yes, i'm sure we'll have a fix for this once some more monsters are slain ;)

Look at functions.php (the line specified) and see what's there. If its a hook, check any plugins that use the hook for the line specified. If it's a template, check that line of the template.

I agree.

Guys, this is an open source product that can become something really amazing if you all work together. Everyone's configuration is going to be a little different. There are going to be bugs. Come together and take this already excellent solution to the next level.

Please put this in to the info file. Most of the people here has php 4 (not php5) installed on their servers...

RichieBoy67 09-23-2006 10:01 PM

Thanks.......

I am certain that the problems I am having are due to my configuration and once I get the right settings I will be fine....
