The reason i asked for the most server intensive hacks is so that i can see if i have them and remove them. I dont want to remove all my hacks but a good handfull that maybe use more resources than others

The only setting for that is either 'update immediately' or 'once an hour'. ;)

Merge some forums together.

Move all of your sports subforums into a single forum. you've got 20 threads in 4 forums. that could be one forum with 20 threads.

You don't need 3 more subforums for specific aspects, merge these all into one.

Again, you could probally merge all of your cellphone forums into one.

Condense and remove some out of the games section

NO, 100 forums with each 1 posts looks slow, compared to 1 forum with 100 posts.

That forum activity hack could be a poteintial problem.

Just out of interest in the debug mod you have for example

a list of templates and (1) or (62) after the template, what are the (1) & (62)
are they queries for said template?

I have now removed quite a few hacks, i have been through them all (or there abouts) and removed any that dropped a query or more, I am down to 274 hacks and 39 queries on the forumhome....

I will attempt to do the same for the postbit and other main templates as well
perhaps at the weekend :)

Ok just found out that the custom drop links that i have in the navbar are creating
wait for it, 17 queries :O so, i am looking for an alternative....
Perhaps creating a manual droplink menu opposed to using the hack, would this still cause the queries?
If so what would you suggest please?
