@An-Net
Yes, just remove the collation/charset stuff and it will work.
However, make sure that fields you are processing string operations on (like CONCAT or FIND_IN_SET) should be BINARY, otherwise you might/will run into problems with conflicting collations.

@Kenny Pollock
Make sure you are using the latest Version and unmodified templates.
If it still does not work, make a bugreport.

As for recounting: It's not a feature yet, but i'll make a note to add smth, in the future.

Thanks for the response.

The footer shows: vB 3.5 Journal (1.0.2 Alpha 1) by KirbyDE, based on vB Journal 1.0.1 by Antonbomb22

Is that the latest for 3.5?

Andreas 11-16-2005 12:27 AM

No, that is very old.
Current Version is Beta 1, the previous one was Alpha 3.

So is the zip going to be updated so I can try to upgrade this on our MySQL 4 installation?

AN-net 11-16-2005 07:15 PM

yes i will try to upgrade this tonight.

AN-net 11-16-2005 11:34 PM

This fix addresses problems within the upgrade script relating to MySQL 4.0 Compatability problems.

upload and overwrite journalupgrade2.php, new file attached.

quick question, sorry if it is already stated or not. Is it possible to make the journal so that each journal uses the userid in the url? instead of "do=showjournal&j=id". The reason that I'm asking this is because I want each member to have a journal according to her/his real forum id.

thank you.

AN-net 11-18-2005 07:41 PM

currently no, and for this version i do not see it being a feature. users can easily access their journals through journal.php?do=gotomyjournal
