What happens when we upgrade to vb4? I can see that facebook connect is not supported now :(

There doesn't seem to be a plugin for vb4. Will all those FB connect members lose access to the site?

I would like to say that this bug was reported but never fixed seemed like most developers did not bother because as of February 1st's update this protocol no longer is valid.

I have the same problem accross 3 forums I have.

Must find solution fast.

I see three ways to go:

- Try fixing the Facebook Connect add on
- Using another Facebook Connect add on
- Uppgrading to 4.0 and take it from there installing a new Facebook Connect for 4.0

Any suggestions appreciated.

Same problem. I had to disable it. Does anyone know if any of the other facebook plugins are compatible? Many users won't be able to log in!

same problem here - I"m guessing FBConnect has changed something on their end, because a similar FBConnect plugin I use on WordPress blog is also giving the exact same error.

Hope there's a resolution soon.

There's no support for this plugin so there won't be a solution that I know of. Facebook didn't tell anyone! Damnz

you can revert your templates back to the default if need be. or just undo the manual edits made. Once the templates are defaulted.... just disable it.

Question for all of us who were loving this mod ... and of course, it no longer works ... what action did you take ... did you just install, and if so ... all those folks who used FBConnect to join your forums ... how are they logging in?

Did you move to an alternate product, and if so - what .. and can your existing FBConnect users login?

I have the same question. I desperately want to remove FB Connect... but how to our users continue to login?

If vB4 has one.. I assume we can copy the integration code and use it for vB3.8

Soo many pages... Anyways how can i change the image of the facebook connect to the small one that just says F Connect? The default image is toooo big.

I just wanted to let people know that i got this working on 3.8 but the wall notifications etc.. do not work. Registration does work.

Great modification, but it didn´t work in our board.

I had change the things and create the app - it seems to be right, i could accept the app-permission-window, if i click on the "connect with facebook" button, then i could set an username and then a http 500 error follows - what could i do? Does anyone know this problem and could tell me a way to fix it?

My forum just shows a loading animation trying to load the script but nothing actually works... and i need this working...

I just would like to know if someone encountered some problems with bots.. i mean.. i've not installed this mod yet, so i want to ask you before :)
I'm worried because we had many problems with bots recently, so i would like to avoid any type of problem with registration.
