Arrow buttons. Space bar to jump or go up.

I had this problem -

Open your "tetris" template:

Find the two instances of:
#########################
../tetris.swf
#########################

And REPLACE both of them with:
#########################
tetris.swf
#########################

Im also getting just a white screen when I try to play a game

there is no "tetris" template, I have 2 templates that I made, and there is no ../tetris.swf link in either of them

Did you mean the "flash" template? if you didnt then I am totaly lost and need help

Thanks, found out I had to click my mouse in the game. That's why it wasn't working for me.

Erwin:

I tried that but still doesn't work...

What would be the way I should use if I want to redirect index.html to my forums index.php?

I mean.. I have no index.html under my public_html folder... so under .htaccess I wrote:

Redirect permanent /index.html http://www.mydomain.com/forums/index.php

it works...but now my games page doesn't work, as described previously. It seems the redirect (or the way it's being redirected) is the problem(?)

I know there are other ways to redirect, but don't know which to use. :disappointed:

That is a post by john.eovie that deals with his Tetris hack which has nothing to do with this hack. Read it carefully.

Your problem has been dealt with many times in this thread by myself - read through the more recent posts.

Some tips:
Make sure you have uploaded the tetris.swf file into your forum directory.
Make sure your URL is using the exact case of the file name without the .swf part
Make sure you have not modified the flash template.
Make sure the URL to your forum directory us correct in your Admin CP vB Options.

Not much I can do here. You just have to play around with the flash template to point to the correct directory for your Flash games. Note that there are 2 instances in the template you have to change.

Erwin: Everything is exaclty the same as besfore, except my domain name is now another one... (I replaced the info on VB and everything works except the games)

Remember now I have a redirect of index.html to http://www.mydomain.com/forums/index.php I don't know if this is the best way to do it... this seems to be the cause, since I can perfectly play the games in my local testboard.

Erwin 12-15-2002 01:17 AM

Redirecting index.html to index.php has no effect on the flash.php or flash templates, so I don't know what the problem you have is. Did you upload the games to your forum directory? Are you using the correct filenames?

Julio 12-15-2002 01:51 AM

In the two $bburl instances, I asked you once how to "call" the games from another folder under forums....

It reads $bburl/games/$play.swf

Erwin 12-15-2002 01:55 AM

Change that to:

http://www.mydomain.com/forums/games/$play.swf

(didn't I say that - to hardcode your forum URL?)
