I have added the feature request at Dragon Byte Tech, as I can see the benefit of this. Knowing who and when can be a huge help. Especially if a problematic member is trying to side step the staff using this feature.

You should make future versions of this have the option to charge for a username change eg: You may change your username once for free, after that it will cost...

But I like it :)

I just installed this on my forum and set the options to allow unlimited changes and now I'm getting a database error and can't access the admin panel to reset. Help!!

disable your addons globally via the config.php file on server and go into your acp and un install or disable the mod

then re enable your mods again

Let me see if I got this right. If I give someone permissions to be able to change usernames, they can change the name of any username on the site? There is not boundaries for this? Basically, love the mod will make life easier but givins someone unconstraint control pretty much nulls this for us. What I am looking at is if someone has been given the power to change usernames, we want it where they can change usernames for certain specific additional usergroups. Is this possible?

Not any just their own username

Only if you give them the "Can Change Others' Usernames" and they also have ModCP access.

Exactly what I am looking at. That is way too much control for a moderator. Can you set it up to where it was limited to an assigned usergroup as primary or additional usergroup? Or add an approval system that when anyone wants to change their username, it would go the the admin panel to where an admin has to go in and approve it? Perfect mod, just missing control measures.
