how To Put Subforums' Subforums Into Columns after going into a Subforum section?

Scooterpig 12-12-2007 07:53 AM

Well this is exactly what I need but unfortunately it stuffs my home page up and I have no idea why..:(

I have 10 sub-forums for 1 particular forum, but when I install this hack, all it does is stretch those sub-forums into 1 single line. I have changed settings and it still keeps them all in a single line.

Any suggestions please?

Thank you.

Check the second option in the adminCP settings "Number of columns to arrange sub-forums into".

I told the question again the 5 time. I have the same Problem, that the Subforums are not in one Row.
In the older Version, there was a hack for that. But i can't found it again...
any idea?

Is there any way to have the latest active thread displayed for subforums as they are for forums?

I use the single column display and it would be very cool to have the latest active thread listed to the right of the subforum:

Subforum - Latest Active Thread

Also, is there any way to add some text after the subforum like this:

Subforum [My manually entered text goes here]
Subforum [My manually entered text goes here]
Subforum [My manually entered text goes here]
Subforum [My manually entered text goes here]

I installed on one of my forums and it shows up to me only when I as the admin is logged in, but when I logged out I see the old view. When I log in as a registered member, then and only then do they see the changes. Guests do not.

Working eventually, was changing the wrong settings. In order to get it to work, I had to ensure 'Forum Display Listing Options' were :

Depth of Forums - Forum Home : Set to 1
Depth of Forums - Forum Display : Set to 2
Depth of Sub-Forums : Set to 1

Then everything worked as expected.

Nice hack.
