Hiya Marius, I have finally taken the plunge and have installed this marvellous mod along with downloadsII, but for the life of me I cannot get the downloads to download when an item is purchased through the shop. It is obviously something I have got wrong but I am now all out of ideas on what I have got wrong, I'm confused by the LinkID for DownloadsII bit when adding an item. When I look at the download link from downloadsII I see do=file&id=2 so I entered the number 2 in the LinkID for DownloadsII entry field for the shop item.
When I go to the shop and purchase the item I get the item okay but 'no download' of the zipfile from downloadsII.
I'm going to PM you a temporary admin account, can you look at my settings please Mariius, I am pretty much stumped mate.

Sorry, ignore last post, working perfectly, I was expecting a download from the shop but I have to buy in the shop then i can download it in the downloadsII section.

It's too bad there isn't something like a way to buy other points or have a point like custom point that can buy any item, no matter what currency (points for threads or whatever) is decided.

Is something like that by any chance on your to do list?

Greetings, how did you managed to sell a certain file in the shop please? I saw users can get points for uploading, but found no way to make them pay for dowloading.

I chose DownloadsII for file handling, the Links and Downloads Manager seemed excessive for simple file handling.
Okay, download and install DownloadsII, create the categories you require for your files in DownloadsII (do this in preparation for uploading your files for download), then upload the plugin for DownloadsII that Marius has provided in the extras/addons folder that comes with vbexperience.
Add your item for sale in the vbexperience shop as normal, then upload your download file through DownloadsII (be sure to select the correct category for uploading!), when you have uploaded your file through DownloadsII look to the browser address bar and note the number at the end of the address, that is your files ID number. Go back to the item you added in the vbexperience shop, edit the item and add the files ID number in the DownloadsII ID data entry box.
Don't forget to set usergroup permissions for DownloadsII through the usergroups setup in ACP.

(Note, when your members pay for a download, it does not download from the shop, they need to go to the DownloadsII area to access their purchased file!).

why does it still show my Social Groups stats & Visitor Messaging stats in the Statistics section even though I have those option disabled both in vbExperience and in Vbulletin CP ?

Or is there a way to choose what shows up in the Statistics section ?

Has anyone figured out a way of combining 'all' earned points into a single class of points for purchasing an item from the shop.
The system as it is now is awesome, but on my own site I should like all earned points to be spendable on all items.

how does the addons work? I upload it in the plugins and products but what do I do after that to edit them?

did you fix it already? you have to replace the other experience code to your navbar brader?

Hello. Just installed; thank you. I've started to fill the "shop" and I'm wondering where those images are displayed once a member purchases them? Is there a gallery of purchased items? Also, can the shop items be gifted?

Additionally, I currently run Post Hack Thank you 7.7, so I install the Post Thanks add-on included in the download? What does this do? Does it allow vBexperience to utilize the "thanks" count?

Looks like vBexperience is already counting the gallery additions. I use Album Pictures 2.0. Is this correct?

Just incase you didn't know, when I got the three fiends achievement, I look on the achievement page and it said 1 user had it and that I didn't (which I do). It also said that I needed nine firends and that I had eight (when I have four).

You don't need to edit anything pal, add ons are just for SETTING UP points.
I mean, installing add ons you can give activity points for thanks given, files uploaded, v3 arcade champinships won, etc.

A user does not get any XP if he is using GAP. That must be a mistake. Please show me the logs that are saying this.


Statistics per forum would eat too much resources.

Simply add required points for it. Edit the achievements and add the extra points needed for it.

What is the problem as they are displayed both? What do you expect from it? They are two complete different systems.

A thread or a post got deleted, a friend removed you from buddy list, a thread is not more sticked, etc... All actions that are adding points are also substracting them if they are beeing removed.

You need the beta version of the script I think.

For Achievements you will need vBExperience 3.8.5, which is currently in Beta.
