Talking about bandwith....

I noticed games are being used way more than I thought. I already have 20 games and was planning on adding more, but they are taking my bandwith away.

I tried to re-direct from ****play=(URL HERE) but it doesn't work. Just wondering if this may be possible somehow?

For example, most of the games I (we) downloaded from this thread come from www.miniclip.com, so the line your be: (http://www.your-forum.com/forums/fla...Flash/gamename)

I even tried getting Miniclip's HTML they provide to link to their GameRoom into an html and use Erwin's html, java, text integrator to call the html, but it will display as text inside the board...

Any suggestions?

It's possible, but I won't be releasing a version of this hack that allows you to remote-link to Flash files hosted elsewhere as this is considered leeching and is unfair to the other server. How would you like it if someone linked to files on your server, using up your bandwidth? :) I purposely made this hack to prevent this from happening. Flash games, if very large, can chew up bandwidth, so use with care.

Erwin: I perfectly understand your point. However www.miniclip.com do provide an area where you "get" an html code that you place in your site as Game Room. So literally allo you to do it.

What is strange is that I placed the html code they provided in an html file locally in my forums folder, and called it using your HTML, Java, TXT integration file, but it doesn't work either...

I do have another host of 5Gb of space and 30Gb bandwith with just one small site... I would have no problem on palcing there my games and some other files, I can "call" with that function.

Donkey Kong

New Flash Game that can be used with Flash Player.

To play:

1) Install Flash Player
2) Upload DonkeyKong.swf to your forum directory
3) Use this URL:

http://www.your-forum.com/forums/flash.php?play=DonkeyKong

Enjoy!

What are the controls for that game? I can't get Mario to move.

OK Guys... Here's a good question...

I had my forum on a domainB and another domainA parked to domain B Today I got rid of domainB and everything points to domainA except I redirected index.html to domainA/forum/index.php, changed the URL under control panel, etc. Now, my games will not load... does my changes may have anything to do?

Check that the forum URL in your Admin CP vBulletin Options is pointing at your forum directory.

Erwin: Everything is OK (At least it seems)

I was thinking that since Im redirecting thr index.html to www.domain/forum/index.php maybe the flash.php recognizes it as www.domain/forum/forum/flash.php?

Possibly.

Go to the "Flash" template, and change the TWO occurences of $bburl to your whole site's URL.
