I'm wondering if this modification is what I need.

I'm running a forum most of which is accessible only to paid subscribers. Of course, in order to subscribe users must first register but I'm seeing a good number of people registering without then subscribing (which doesn't gain them anything!). My question is whether this modification will allow me to put up a message only visible to registered members who are not paid subscribers.

I couldn't work out from the specs and the forum discussion whether this is possible.

You could certainly do this with welcome headers, but you could just as easily do it without.

How would I do it without Welcome Headers?

You'll need a conditional that checks if the person is a guest and not a member of your supporting member's group. This is pretty simple and something you can get help with on vb.org or vb.com

Thanks. However I want this not for guests but for registered people who haven't paid the sub. I assume, though, that the same method applies in this situation. Please correct me if I'm wrong - and please excuse my utter newbieness (if there is such a word!).
