I can help you in style issues as well as I'm a forum designer. |
Could you make a version for vB 4?
|
Can you please provide me link to help file on this MOD. I am not able to integrate MOD into a forum or thread. Authors website is closed now.
If someone has those files, can you update to this thread. I am not able to use this wonderful mod. Able to create forms but not integrate into thread or forum. Nothing comes with after selecting forum id (name) or thread id. |

I m on a 3.8.1 vb version. I've installed the 3.7 product and set all the usergroup options. Maybe i dont understand how it works or it doesn't work for me.
I can see the forms in the "forms" link in the navbar, but I cant see them in threds/posts. Thats normal? My question is : how to show the form in a thread? Do I have to create a link to the url form? Thanks |
Quote:
You don't show forms in the threads. The forms can post their results to threads however. you need to goto www.domain.com/misc.php?do=forms From there you can create/edit your forms. You'll also get links there to use the forms. copy those links and put them wherever you want on your website. |
Trek any update so far mate?

Is it possible to make a textbox field which only becomes compulsory to answer if the user has selected 'Other' as the option from a compulsory list of radio buttons? I want to allow the users to select an option from a list of radio buttons, but I only want them to fill in the following 'Other' textbox if they select teh option 'Other' from the radio button list. If they select another option from the radio button list, other than 'Other', then it shouldn't be compulsory for them to fill in the following textbox.

Great work so far. |
First off, thanks for this really convenient tool, however the use I have planned for it requires me to be able to allow regulat members access to the one form and ill it out, but not be allowed ro edit the form itself, or access to other forms....is this at all possible? Am I not looking at the right place when setting the permissions, based on the admin cp acess to easy forms settings?
Thanks........installed, and voted!!!! TSG! |
I think my license is going to expire before this thing gets released, is there any BETA I could be sent for this? I know it's still in testing, but I need this mod badly.
|
ive just upgraded to vb4 and then realised this mod would not work correctly, Utterly gutted as i use it all the time!
Its a great mod and im desprate to find out when it might be released for 4.0.1? Thanks in advance Rob |
I'm in agreement with Rob. I've been checking back daily to see if the mod is updated to 4.0.x
Absolutely love your work, and its going to be used often on my website www.DistortedGuild.com - Jim |
Just FYI, if your considering updating to 4.0.x, not sure if this information will help you or not, and if not I'm sorry for the spam post.
Here are the errors I get in 4.0.1 Quote:

The author of this mod (and many other great mods) disappeared. He doesn't answer PMs, his websites were taken down and the mods were all changed to "Unsupported".
Whatever his reasons, he's gone from all we can tell. To that end, I started doing the conversion to VB4.0 myself as I need this mod as well. After I converted (basically, made it work, just not pretty) it to vB4, I realized that there was a lot of work to be done in the styles area. Styling is something I know next to nothing about however. Thankfully Sarcoth offered to help and has been spending at least as many hours of work as I did on the upgrade, in upgrading the styling. He told me he should have things basically completed this coming week. Assuming that he has the time to complete what he needs to, I'll get a copy of it and then merge my changes. Once we're relatively sure that things are working, I'll post it here on vb.org. I have it up and running on my own production site right now, but it's ugly as I said. I don't have all of Sarcoth's changes in place yet. But if anyone is curious, you can see it at www.darkhandofvalor.com. Click one of the application links from the navtab. Also, someone PM'd me and offered a copy of the help files that were created by the author of the mod as well, so I hope to be able to include those as well with the release. A few things to note right now. Myself and Sarcoth are NOT the authors of this mod, nor do we claim to be. We're not accepting any donations (although I wish I was with as many offers as I've had. heh but thank you for the offers!) as we didn't write the code and I don't think it right to do so. I used the 3.7 beta version here as my base when I did the conversion to vb4. What bugs that were in that version, are probably in the vb4 version. While I will do what I can (and I ASSUME) Sarcoth will do what he can in the styling area, this isn't our mod and we're doing this as favor to everyone that needs it. Support for it will be spotty and at this point, I wouldn't plan on getting any new features added, etc. Our primary focus will be making what is there already, work with vb4. I know many of you are awaiting the vb4 version and we'll get it to you as soon as we can (again, this coming week more than likely). |
Thanks for hooking us up! It's appretiated!
|
Appreciated Trek!
|
dont stop!
|
Well, thankfully the author of this mod has provided an upgrade for vb4.

I just saw that as well and we were just wrapping things up on our conversion... Such is life.
Anyway, I'm glad bananalive is back, hopefully he ports some of his other excellent mods too! |

With 3.8.4 I can not edit my forms.
misc.php?do=editform&fid=1 => once I click on submit, I am redirected to FORUMHOME :( Where is my mistake? |
Isnt there an option right in the end that allows you to input where you want to redirect after the form is submitted?
Redirect user after form is submitted - Yes Checkbox URL of webpage user is redirected to: Your Desired URL |

I have exactly the same Problem like ThorstenA with vb3.8.4. After editing a form, i'll be redirected to forumhome, the changes are not saved...
|
Thorsten, i think you have also installed vbseo, after deactivating vbseo, it works...
UPDATE: i excluded this "^misc\.php" from vbseo, now it works |
Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to send a mass PM to a usergroup when a form is submitted?

How do I create a custom dropdown that pulls the same options from a custom profile dropdown. For example field42 is an option in a members profile to select a game and I want the data from this same field42 to appear in a custom dropdown in this form?
