i installed the gif image but somehow it not being displayed in my forum. How do i go about adding credits for my users? Does it operate like the reputation? If yes, will be it possible to guide me through on how to create the vbcredit button.
Thanks

Could anybody tell me what is wrong there?

Select no/nein for exclude from VBCredits and hide credit amounts.

Done, but nothing changed !

If i go to
http://www.site.de/credits.php

then i could see the usercredits.

But nothing is linked. In Admin there are a low of links, but not in the usermenu

DS MrSinister 01-02-2008 07:39 PM

my guess you will need to do the template edits. if you don't have the TMS hack installed.

The image is accidentally labeled as credits.GIF, you should change it to credits.gif (lowercase) if your server doesnt like it (non windows). as for where it shows up, its for the post award system. enable it (along with the other settings you are looking for) in the usergroup manager.

hi,

great mod, but i got one question (if it was mentioned before, sorry). If i click in the Postbit on the credits link it shows me a "not found" site....

im using 3.6.8 VB. If its in the update youre dev in then sorry.

oh and i recheck all the settings and uploaded the credits.php as well as the other xmls and other files.

all other features work only the link in the postbit doesnt. It points me to credits.php?u=x
and it doesnt show up anything as well im access it directly at credits.php.

Any Ideas ?

thanks

mark|3 01-03-2008 10:33 AM

currently i have banking functions all installed. How do i go about removing all those functions and simply have a normal credit system. (e.g. something like reputation)

thanks

in the banking settings, get a high number of days for bank access, and it will remove the savings and loan panels.

if you get 404 page not found, the credits.php is not in the correct directory. make sure its in your forum root.

Lombardo 01-05-2008 09:45 PM

where do you put the credit.php file thats in the upload folder?

yahoooh 01-05-2008 11:17 PM

everything in the upload folder goes in your forum root; subfolders in the upload folder go into subfolders of your forum root.

LoF 01-07-2008 01:18 PM

I have a problem:
When I want to donate user, I write the username, comments and amount.
Then I click "donate" - and it shows me an error:
"Invalid Specified"

What is the problem?

make sure you spelled the username properly and that the amount chosen is within the amount you have

MissKalunji 01-09-2008 05:36 PM

can someone explain to me what is the "award" option? what is it there for? i didnt understand it or does it only work with Reputation?

golfum 01-09-2008 06:49 PM

I have installed this mod and it is great. I want the credits to reflect the reputation points because am displaying the reputation points with little sayings depending on how many reputation points they have.

So can i get it so that the number of credits = reputation points

that way as the credits go up the reputation points go up?

You can set an award amount for reputation in the usergroup settings, and have it multiply against reputation points in the global award settings. if you set 1 credit per reputation and have it multiply, then they would get 1 credit for each reputation recieved

you mean the post award system? its kind of like what many people would call the admin donate system. that is, giving credits to someone without having it come out of your account. normally not a power you would want to grant to just anyone.

There are pro addons (paid) that are available for vBCredits (free). I suggest that you go over to www.vbcredits.com, sign up for the forums and Dark or PixelFX can help you out. They provide quick and excellent support.

MissKalunji 01-09-2008 08:59 PM

well thank u!

that works well if you reward reputation points then it gives your credits. I want it to work in revers. So that if you get credits it then bumps up the reputation points. Is that possible or am i not seeing it.

Actually I want them to = each other.
Thanks for your help.

Darkwaltz4 01-10-2008 05:39 PM

No thats not possible. But if you wanted reputation to be the same as credits... why not just use reputation for stuff? You actually can if third party hacks allow you to specify a database row. You could even do it with post count!

Unless youre saying you want to use vbcredits as new ways to earn reputation..

It messes up 3.7 big time.

Freesteyelz 01-12-2008 12:02 AM

Which version are you running, silvermerc? I've been testing vBCredits 1.4 RC1 on vB 3.7 Beta 3 and it's working very nicely.

yes, however there is a temporary bitfield collision edit to make. if anyone finds any issues beyond that when they try to install or use vbcredits, please let me know right away.

i posted my remaining progress threads earlier :-p if you look through my bug tracker you can also see the bunch of patches available, which if you applied them all would get you 1.4 final for the most part :D

silvermerc 01-12-2008 10:02 AM

When will it be sorted though?

I mentioned already the fix has been posted at vbcredits.com - since like december 20th

heres a link
http://www.vbcredits.com/forum/tracker.php?itemid=156
Fixes the only reported compatibility issue between vBCredits and vBulletin 3.7bX. Again, if anyone else finds any other compat issues, let me know, dont just say "it doesnt work" cause its usually something small and quickly fixable, like that.

golfum 01-13-2008 02:48 AM

When I see a profile and they have the Credits in there. it is a hyperlink. when i click on the hyperlink i get a "The webpage cannot be found"

here is the link.

http://golfum.com/forums/credits.php?u=556

Thanks.
