Where can I request a BLOCK let's say for Xbox?

This product has just made a giant leap forward! Nice work guys. I'm a happy person now :)


It seems to work OK with VB 3.6.4, so I'm wondering why the product file sets the minimum compatibility at 3.6.6 ...... (I change it so it would import)

It's not a serious issue, but the navbar links for the profile pages and blog disappeared after my upgrade to 2.0. Everthing is ok in adminCP so the settings are not the issue.

$zointsprofile_popup_navbar is in the correct place in the navbar template and 'zointsprofile_popup_navbar' is listed as a Portal Output Global Variable in CMPS.

EDIT: If I put the code below in the navbar template instead of $zointsprofile_popup_navbar, all the links appear. The community central and blog links then work. The profiles link appears, but the drop down menu does not appear.

If you created a new fresh vB style, do the links appear correctly? I haven't really encountered many problems with an upgrade from 1.x.x to 2.x.x but I know there were changes from product to product. Perhaps some of the difficulty is due to you being on 3.6.4. I know compatibility starts at 3.6.6 for the product, but as I did not code it I am not for sure why it begins at 3.6.6

There are a few more pressing issues.

1. When editing an existing thread or comment in the Discussions tab, the existing content does not appear in the tinyMCE editor...... it's blank. Editing existing blog entires works ok though.


2. The new block format for the blog page is not there for any profile that has been modified prior to the installation of the current release of zoints. All profiles that have never been modified, show the blocks on the blog page. How can I make sure ALL the profiles have the blocks page available for blogs? I'd rather not, but if I have to uninstall, then completely reinstall zoints, I will..... I hope that isn't necessary.

Do you mean vBSEO? If so, yes, as far as we know this functions properly side by side with vBSEO (with the occasional exception).

I know the Profile tabs are movable by the members, but is there a way to set the default order of the tabs? Like for example for a car forum, could you make the My Vehicle section be the first tab by default?

vBSEO is a very deep program so I can't say that each and every possible combination works, but with many installations of both, ZL works just fine (see my personal forum in my sig.) :)

There might be a bug or two with this Taipa, but I think I can work something out for you. If you wanted to make it so that the My Vehicle content was shown first, you could switch the block layouts for the My Vehicle and the My Profile, and then switch the title of the pages. I know this seems a bit backward, but it seems that the page ordering has a bug or two, which I noted to the engineers, but I think that would do what you need for the time being. But, that only apply to new/untouched accounts.

As with any upgrade to vB, we suggest that you backup your site and it's tables. But Zoints Local itself should continue to work fine, /z/. However, you would need to install the 3.7x product.

The instructions are outdated and confusing and although I might very much like the ideas presented, installing them on any of my site would be out of the question given the sloppy way the product is being presented. I am looking for a 3.7.2.x solution which this might be but I can not tell nor do I have any confidence in the hodge podge you have posted.

There are few products that contain the amount of work that Zoints Local has which is bound to be a bit more confusing (it is a struggle for us to have a file that doesn't exceed the maximum allowed size, thus why helpful_docs is not in the product zip.) And when you add in the fact that we are currently in a RC stage, so we still offer the existing stable version files for those who would prefer them at this stage for the 3.6x version, it only further confuses things.

If you look in the 3.7x mod section, you would find our product there and only two zip files. Hopefully you would see which was the actual download file, ZointsLocal-2.0.0.5RC3-3.7.X.zip, as again the helpful docs is something we do to provide additional information and not to confuse, if we had our druthers that would be one file on that thread and nothing else. I see it now! If anyone else has this problem, make sure to note when first installing that you need to define which blocks you want to show and where, by default the slate is clean.

erm ok stupid question, i have a lot in my forum and i want it to run as a forum but have zoints local in the background eg rather than local being the begining of the site i would like it to be a link in the header so the forum comes first then local if i install local will it take over the site ? and do i download all files ?

It doesn't let the userd edit their profiles and I marked the edit styles option... And one of our admins doesn't appear when you search for the username.

Any clue what it should be? What am I doing wrong? :confused:

I spent $400 on this to have it go belly up on me. I don't see my favorite hockey guy here atm and am wondering if and when we might see something that doesn't have to be part of the whole zoints community sharing. As of right now I'd like to consider it but I'm not sure I want to replace the new, upcoming usage of extended vBulletin profiles with this when it seems that the "benefit" you're providing is that my business forums can be intermingled with someone else's community on teenage love. ;) Would enjoy sharing with us these plans, considering I involuntarily funded this development. ;)
