I'm having some trouble with this mod. $forumbits by itself displays everything perfectly but when I make my own variable such as $forumbits2 with category id (1,1,0) it doesn't style and just outputs plain text with the spacing. (I'm not using the default vbulletin style. Where can I edit what $forumbits outputs?

Sounds like you would benefit from holding off for version 2 which is much easier to work with, specially if you have custom styles that deviate from default vb layout/templating ... If you want to try, you will still need to edit the forum home template only.... you will see in the instructions remarks about were to edit layout code for your custom style.... ALL of that goes away with the next version however.. |
Thanks for the quick response :) When can we expect the new version?
P.S. I actually fixed the problem and it works great! |
Another question:
I'm trying to combine this mod with another one that displays forums in categories in 2 columns. Here is the link: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=99829&page=23 The problem is that, again, it only affects the main $forumbits variable and not $forumbits_tab1 which is the category in which I want to display the forums in two columns. How can change that? |

Again, this will be automatic with the next version since the next version uses those templates. |

Just found this Mod and it is exactly what I am looking for, I don't think I can hold out for v2 before installing, will v2 include the removal of this version and update to v2, so that vb updates in the future don't effect it?
|
Any chance for an automatic installation like other mods ?
