Yes, old threads can have tags auto-generatd via the words in the title. Screenshots showing this are in the first post.

i get just one specific tag in all the [X]'s.

Did you do the edit manually when installing the tags? What version of vBulletin are you running?

1. I put the tags as i send post or after that.
2. I use vb 3.6.3

1. What I mean, is when you first installed the modification, did you go in and edit the code in your templates to make the tag system show? Or did our installer do it automatically for you?

Tags are running lovely now - I am a happy man!

Now if someone could just explain to me how I can get the option to 'auto tag' OLDER threads I would be most gratefull (because the window / option to do so is presently MISSING from the tag admin option page)

I just made the automatic installation.I didn't change nothing.

I did a test and changed the forum lang to english , and it's working good.
My forum is in hebrew and the problem is in the mod with hebrew lang.

OK! Now they are installed I am digging the tags!!!!

Now that i have auto tagged all 90,000 threads written by my forums 25,000 members

I want to allow two types of non moderators to tag OLDER threads...

1) Long standing members who volunteer to help me organise tag categories and tags threads

2) My advertisers who have their products discussed in the forums, to allow them to tag threads about their products (especially the two word product names, which have not been represented well by the auto tagging process)

My question is how do I allow these groups to go back and tag old threads?

Do they absolutely HAVE to have full moderator status? :surprised:

Is there some safe 'moderator light' status I can TEMPORARILY give people to 'go tagging'?

Can I create a user group with no extra powers, except the power to tag?

Tricky thing is we have a moderators only forum, and I wouldn't want either of these tag team groups to be able to read it..
