Is it safe to upgrade to 3.6 right now?
|
Before I upgraded to 3.5.4, Admin could see private entries, has this been removed?

Andy, feel free to move forward with this hack - as long as I get permission to eventually re-use the code for future versions.

So when can we expect to see it available? You don't know how much we appreciate it... ^^

Hopefully by the weekend, although I can't guarantee it.
|

Can't wait for the release!
|
I have a couple of real important features I'd like to request :
1) image attachments. We have people keeping journals of their home theater builds but they can't attach images, so they have to do it in normal threads. This is *such* an important feature. 2) Conversion of a normal thread into a blog entry (and back?). This will enable us to 'import' existing journal type threads into the vBJournal system. And being able to convert journals back to normal threads would, of course, make it easier to uninstall at any point. Thanks for your consideration. |
SQL query:
UPDATE product SET version = '1.0.2 Alpha 1' WHERE productid = 'journalhack' MySQL said: #1146 - Table 'thewomen_vb.product' doesn't exist I keep getting the query error and I'm not sure why? I installed the lurnal on a clean install of 3.6 and all looks OK, but it says I do not have perpission to enter, I must have missed something? Any help would be appreciated? Robin |
So their is going to be a newer version?

Thanks for getting in touch with this hack, Andy. I can't wait for the new release. And I'd be happy to donate a few bucks for you great work! :)

Strange. I have two boards running 3.6 now. One of them...I used the updated journal.php and everything works fine. The other...everything shows up fine but no one can enter any new entries. o_O
|
Make sure you are uploading them via ASCII mode. Try again.
|
I have added the edited journal.php to my vbulletin for 3.6 but it sys I have to approve journal entries how do I fix this?

BTW, has anyone succeeded in getting the journalpage template looking like blogger.com ? I'm getting close but the footer is still messed up :( EDIT: Wee! Aurons Ghost fixed it for me. It is now a faithful copy of Blogger.com's Sand Dollar layout. Get the templates below :D http://eternalspira.ffproject.net/jo...howjournal&j=1 Due to the ammount of interest, here are the templates. Enjoy! After downloading do this: Code:
1) Add 1 template: Bloggersidebar, with whatever you want under the avatar on the sidebar. My Bloggersidebar.tpl has the example I used. |
does anyone know if this mods works for 3.6.0?
|
i cant see the journal permissions in user group settings in vbulliten 3.6
|
still waiting for oblivion to release the latest version..:(
|
yeah im waiting too for the latest version for 3.6.0 >_<
|
Err.. found a tiny bug in this version.
Did anyone here try to delete a mood already ? I did and it gave me an SQL Error. Easy enough to fix though: On journaladmin.php Find Code:
// ###################### Start killmood ####################### Code:
// ###################### Start killmood ####################### I also made a plugin to add most of the the journal CP to the Moderator Menu, since I don't want to be hassled with adding moods! :P |
I'm hoping to have some time during the next few days to finish working on this and get something released. It should be worth noting however, that support will be extremely limited for the time being, upgrade instructions may be somewhat sketchy in places and I cannot confirm that it will work with the vBulletin 3.5.x series..
Thank you for your patience. |
any idea if it will ever be working for 3.5? I can help you out if you need a test server or tester
