You need to set yourself (your UserID) as Super Administrator in config.php :)

hi, is there anyway you can integrate the likes system with vbseo's likes system?
so that say when people are running both this mod and vbseo with likes system enabled, the vbseo likes system is merger and placement is moved to this mods button directly?

DragonByte Tech 05-24-2012 11:36 AM

I don't believe that's possible - AFAIK vBSEO has no hooks available.

In either case, you can simply disable vBSEO's likes system when this mod is enabled :)

I use firefox for browsing, after installing the Advanced Post Thanks / Like & Advanced User Tagging, the full wysiwyg and QuickRepply do not show in Firefox Browse, it appears white and does not work

now it is back :(

This error:
1. QuickReppy
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/05/1.gif

2. full wysiwyg

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/05/2.gif

DragonByte Tech 05-24-2012 04:41 PM

That happens to me on occasion in Chrome as well, unrelated to APTL :)

If you have a cache system like vB Optimise installed, try flushing that.

In addition, try clearing your browser's cache.

Are you sure? :) I am happy to lend you my copy of vBSEO to test around your mod in if you think there is a slight chance..:)

I am doing that, Disabled this mods Like System and kept the Thank System, The like system in this mod was so much better and good looking than vBSeo but we cant have two like systems can we, besides the vBseo like also appears on Blog posts and CMS Articles. So we kept that. Maybe thats something we can look forward to being included in future releases :)

Thanks for the mod.

DragonByte Tech 05-25-2012 10:09 AM

We run vBSEO on DBTech as well :)

Is this compatible with Darthos lightweight style?

DragonByte Tech 05-29-2012 12:32 AM

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that style so I could not say if there's any issues with this mod and the specific style you're referring to.

Since you ask, and judging by the name, it would be a non-standard skin that strips many of vB's native elements?

In either case, I doubt it'll do much harm in trying the mod and seeing what happens :)

No, it doesn't work, as there are hooks missing (in style, of course).

Goshee 05-30-2012 07:37 PM

Wow thanks for this amazing mod! It's awesome :D

Edit: Dont suppose it is possible to place the like button in a different area? Maybe in the postbit foot bar or something?

Alan_SP 05-30-2012 11:00 PM

Pro version enables you to place button bar inside post area.

Hi, any way to disable the PM notifications?
I would like the unlike's (specifically) to be anonymous to avoid conflicts between members.

I also have a doubt regarding the Editing buttons. Want to be able to allow the "vote" only to Members and Admin. What should I click and what shouldn't I?

:O *picks up wallet* Got any screenshots of how it looks before I buy the pro version? :P

Alan_SP 05-31-2012 07:15 PM

Go to DBTech's site and check it there. They have all their pro versions installed there. Maybe you'll need to register, as mod has option that guests don't see button bar and I don't know if they use this option, as I'm registered and always logged in.

Feature List: Lite

Require a Button CLick: Allows you to hide the content of a post, or hie an attachment, until the person clicks a button on the post.

How to hide content? and thank it to display the content.. thx :)

Alan_SP 06-01-2012 10:25 PM

This doesn't work in light version anymore. You need to buy pro for this.

There are no PM notifications :)

If you want to disable the forum notifications, you can disable the notifications_list and member_build_blocks_start (or whatever) plugins, that will stop the profile block as well as the notifs from appearing :)

Sorry, I don't get what you mean.

If you want only Members and Admins to be able to click a button, then only tick the "Can Click" checkmark for those usergroups :)

Use the Go Advanced editor :)

Once you tick the box there, it'll hide the whole contents of the post.

The Pro version supports [HIDE] tags :)

Pro version upgrade simply requires you to re-upload the files and re-import the XML :)

APTL does integrate with vBActivity & Awards, yeah :)

You'll need to edit and save each button in Manage Buttons (no actual changes are required) once vBAA is installed to get it to "pick up" the APTL buttons, after which they are available for criteria as well as in vBAA's Points Settings.

Please add yourself to Super Administrators in config.php to ensure you can see the DBTech - Post Thanks header, then click Button Manager -> Edit :)

apokphp 06-07-2012 03:18 AM

Does this not work with 4.1.12?

I've installed it, managed the buttons...set to allow Administrators to be able to "Can Click", and I've had my userid set as SuperAdministrator in config.php.

But nowhere, is there a link/button to thank, like or dislike in any post. Tested both in the default and custom skin.

Also, nothing appears under "Quick Links". Are the stats supposed to be there or something?

It's like this hack wasn't even installed, even though it went through all the steps during the install...

*edit*

I have the vb Optimise mod installed, I flushed the cache, and got a couple changes.

1) The Quick Links area shows the Hottest Threads / Posts (good)
2) It also shows Thank / Like statistics (good)
3) The postbit now displays a dropdown that displays what I assume will be the user's thank/like stats

However...there is still no area/link/button to actually GIVE thank, like or dislike for a post.

apokphp 06-07-2012 03:26 AM

yikes...this mod also removed my site's logo which was in the header...how/why would it do that?

www.onlinedebate.net

apokphp 06-07-2012 03:36 AM

Weird...ok. I disabled the mod, refreshed my browser cache. I then relogged, enabled the mod again, and the buttons appear.

Not sure wuttup, but it may be ok now.

Alan_SP 06-07-2012 11:24 PM

Yes, this may happen, you need full browser refresh sometimes. Sometimes you don't. Strange, but true. :)

DragonByte Tech 06-08-2012 05:18 PM

Glad it got worked out :)

LgsOfChampions 06-10-2012 01:45 PM

Hi

I've done everything to a "T" uploaded files, edit mange button and user groups am I missing something?. It shows the thanks counter in the postbit but no thanks button to push to thank the thread,

.....Any idea's?

DragonByte Tech 06-10-2012 02:39 PM

You can't click buttons for your own posts, so if you're viewing your own posts then that could be why.

Other thing to take into consideration is the "Can Click" permission in the Manage Buttons interface.

Also make sure in the Forum Manager interface you have the buttons enabled for each category (the Pro version allows you to control per forum).

Let me know if that helps :)

For some reason it is now showing up on the first post in a new thread. Is there a way to fix this issue?

DragonByte Tech 06-11-2012 11:40 AM

Nope, it is UNPOSSIBLE! Cannot be done, not at all. Nosir.

:p No but seriously, you posted the original post at midnight my time last night. Patience is, as they say, a virtue :)

Ensure that you're not checking threads that were started by you, as the buttons don't show up on posts that belong to you.

Also, check that the dbtech_thanks_firstpostonly column for all forums in the forum table is set to 0.

PS: As per the OP, priority support is handled at our support forums on www.dragonbyte-tech.com, so if you need instant response times that is your place to be :)

If you uninstalled it after receiving those errors then there's unfortunately no way I can assist with this :(

If you received the errors after uninstalling, please also remove the files.
