how do I change the rewrite rules in vbseo to allow people to post comments? I keep getting an error and heard you need to change the rewrite rules. How do I do that?

i did everything written in the thread and i allowed all user groups to get in that channels but still i get this error whem i try to go /board/video.php

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Did you already give your usergroup (admin) permissions? If not, then simply add the permissions by clicking 'yes' on the appropriate option.

On-screen Instructions:

EDIT: Ok, been into videothumbnails/ and CHMODDED the directories in there, how do I regenerate the thumbnail files?

i dont understand what im doing wrong. i installed this version of the mod, followed all the directions (including CHMOD), and i am still getting 'this video cannot be embedded'. can someone give me an example of that they have in their 'video hoster'? is that my problem even? (video hoster)

david01130, I placed "invalid video specified" in the search for the thread and found lots of posts. Might want to look through them. I noticed this post that mentioned a troubleshooting tip.

I have done a search a few times and all it comes up with are people with the same issues and no answers.

The link you posted states you have to turn off rewrite. How do I do that?

THIS MOD NO LONGER WORKS!

I had it running great for a few months with no problem, now *EVERY* time I try to add a new video I get this:

The response of the video-server can't be read.

I've tried adding different videos, maybe 15-20X over the last 3 days, and *every* time now I get that error as a response.

It is now impossible to add YouTube videos. :(

I just loaded three new videos on one site and two new videos on another of my sites. I guess you're having some sort of conflict, because it's working perfectly for us! :up:

the way i fix this problem for my forum was like this :

in files functions_videodirectory.php and video.php
i look for


construct_category_url

and replace with

construct_categories_url

note: in video.php construct_category_url is there few times.

When you went here, what did you find? You're just searching for the phrase video_directory and then editing it to say what you want. That's actually easier than a template edit.

I've upgraded from 1.2.5 to 1.3.0 but i have a problem. I can not make comment to old videos have been added and i can not see the old comments. When i try to make comment to any old video have been added before it say video not found. How can i fix this problem ?

Edit : I think this problem related of video_commentbit template. Can anyone post his video_commentbit template include here ?
