Hi,

this is pretty cool mod, which can be a revenue generating source..

inspite of uploading all files at their correct places, and then proceeding to product mgr to upload the two main xmls, it gives me this messg:
vBulletin Message
You need to upload files first!


--the files that i am tryin to import now are
  1. product_vbexperience3715.xml
  2. vbexperience_level_1_small.xml

am i doin something wrong?

What a great MOD!!! Thanks for this. I have 3.7 installed, and the latest experience installed.

I am having a slight issue with the shop. I created an item, etc. Went thru and purchased it, I use a costfield of Experience. I had a user with 139 User experience points, purchased item for 100 exp points. Says I bought it. It never subtracted the user points, and the item I bought was sent to some other user. I went into the transaction log, and it went to some totally different user.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug. This is by far an excellent product

PS: Setup a new user. Purchased another item, and the shop item went to the same user as the first one did. So anyone on my forum who buys something from the shop, it keeps going to one particular user. :(

Yes, it is doable with the manual assign. Just create a new award and put the userid(s) of the users seperated by a comma in the manual assign field.

Promotions must be done via XML. A GUI for this similar to vBulletin's promotion system will be done in one of next versions. See the demosites for a view of the working promotionsystem.

Right now it's in beta and has been taken over by someone else to help it go Gold in the near future but I think it would be PERFECT to integrate with this mod. You can base points on "good posts" (view the mod to know what I'm talking about) and you can subtract points for people who have x number of thumbs down.

The shop is working like you described - you get points by doing different stuff on forums and in the shop you can redeem the points.

You didn't copied the content of the upload folder to the root of your forum.

Correct. Admin = 6, it's already excluded. This will be an option in next version.

I cannot confirm this. Used 3 users with different items. All items belong to the users who purchased it.

Just uploaded 3.7.16 as a bugfix release.

Changes:
- Shop: Fixed subtraction of xperience
- Shop: Fixed SQL Error for ignored users/groups
- Shop: Possibility to use user, thread, post and misc points as costfield
- Awards: Fixed "fing"-Award
- Experience: Fixed sum of albumpictures
- Quantity = 0 shows now an empty rack
- Added language: Arabic
- Added template hooks for thread, post and user

You should only update if you are affected by the described stuff.

Upgrade Instructions
1. Copy ALL (I mean ALL - That is a common error!) files from /upload/ to the server. Espacially take care of the images, copy them to your style misc folder if you use a customized style.
2. ReImport product_vbexperience3716.xml, allow overwrite

I had set up a donation award in the last version. After upgrading the award isn't being awarded to anyone. I upgraded per the instructions, and did a recount. I even deleted the award and recreated it, but no one is getting it.

Suggestion:

Now there is "Points for days online", that assign points for every day since registering.
What do you think to add "Points for daily login", that assign points to user every day that they login?

Shop items not appearing in the postbit though they appear in memberinfo_block. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I purchased them, rebuild counters,
Position of Shopitems: postbit_userinfo_left (below rank, default), created icons/names in postbit is done.

Still can't see the items in the postbit_legacy. :(

I'm really happy with the store feature, but I think I've stumbled on a small problem. To test out the store, I created a set of items and purchased two of the items.

After I deleted all of the store contents (including the items I've created), it stills says I have purchased two items and to click on a link to view the listing. When I click on the link, nothing shows up.

Is there a way to fix this? I tried to see if I could delete the transaction, but nothing shows up in the transaction as well. I think the transactions were automatically deleted with items, but the changes are not reflected through the phrases and links lead to nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. :) Thank you.

Ok, it worked perfectly on my one forum, but not on my other forum, I have like 40,000+ users on my second forum, and I think I know what the problem is on the second forum. It kept giving the items to a user, whose number was like 32,xxx. So possibly there is some sort of max amount of users. No matter which user would buy something, it would always go to that user. So since that user hasn't been active for a long time, I deleted the user. Now when purchasing items, nothing happens, and nothing shows up in the transaction log. So at this point I'm not going to use a shop on that forum, as I think I have too many users.

It will pull all the stats from the existing site.

Seems your template hook called postbit_userinfo_left is missing. Take a look at the origin postbit template and copy/paste

Transactions are not beeing deleted, will be done in next version. Until then you will have to delete items manually in DB. It's the table "xperience_shop_ta".

have read through the thread for my answer and can not find it

i am not seeing 'manage shop' anywhere, have i missed uploading something?

the only place i see vBExperience is ACP/vBulletin Options/VBexperience and there is nothing there about manage shop...

i saw where you said this repeatedly, but i am not see anything about manage shop

What does the level up mean? I have 3 banned members on the site and they have 99% level up. They were on the site one day and were spamming the site so they were banned, yet it shows their ranking as 99% along with everyone else on the site.

Also the vbexperience options are listed twice in admincp. They are under User and also under vb options

yes, me too...still just shows the little box in postbit...

not sure if i named the items right to appear in the postbit...

i named the item [icon_'item name'_gif.] and added to levels folder...

then in manage icons, for the title...'itemname'

not sure what to add where it says, Picture, Thumb, Icon...what should be added there?:confused:

does a category also have to be picked for costfield for it to show?

do the items have to be 16x16, can they be any larger to show in postbit?

1. Create Cat, Item. Fill the fields, espacially icon.
2. Buy this item.
3. Item should appear in postbit.

If this does not happen, you are missing template hooks. Take a look at the default unmodifiec vbulletin templates.


The itemname is not interesting in this part. You will name the icon directly /misc/levels/icon_myitem.gif by filling the icon field with that value.
Please keep in mind that items in postbit are only shown if you purchased the item.

You should put the banned usergroup to ignored. Level up shows the progress of the transition to the next level...

Seems users are ignored via user/usergroup setting.

Yes, the items are shown there. The demo has this disabled.
