hi all i have a little problem this stopped showing jpg files it uploads them it just doesn't show them now :S can anyone help me out iv maid sure its set to show them in the settings in the admin CP

will this mod be updated for vb4?

Im sure we've all read that of our own accord by now anyway, But it still doesn't answer a question that alot of people would like answered, Myself included, and a supported vb4 release is just a matter of a few days away now and like me im sure that there are plenty of people who would like to be able to still use this.. :) I'd even chip in and pay to have it ported to vb4 if need be.. :)

The author hasn't been online since June, so no doubt there will be no upgrades.

I just realise that trying to upload an *.png image i am receiving the following error message
"/public_html/forum/includes/vbimghost_include.php on line 64"
I tried a few types such as *.png , *.bmp and i keep receiving the same message (with a difference in the number , p.e. "...on line 53" if it is *.jpg)
The mod was working perfectly but since i did upgrade to 3.8.4 PL2 the problem came up.
Any ideas ??

If i were to upgrade my forums from 3.8.x to 4.x without this mod... what would happen to all the images uploaded using VB Image Hosting? Would they still show?

Hi Nikolas, Im currently using vb 3.8.4 PL2 and this mod works ok for me, I will be doing the upgrade to vb4 within the next few days as soon as i get the time to sort it out and im gutted this addon won't work and it looks like it wont be ported at all..

have you rechecked the settings?

it works in "theory" for VB 4.0 just all the templates are screwed up.

a port for the VB 4 will be released this week .
it will only fix the issue with the template nothing new.

however i'm also working on a script to move the vbimghost to the vb albums for who ever want to remove the vbimghost.

I installed this MOD and got stuck at step 4 of the instructions, basically the same problem as Chonan in the last page of this thread, i could not find the in my navbar template, so because i read that he used the header template, i tried inserting the codes there.

It didnt work in either the header or navbar templates and when i tried to view one of my threads, it gave me a "Content Encoding Error. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression."

I'm having an issue with vbimggallery after my hose upgraded to php 5.3, is there any way to fix?

55 - $vbulletin =& new vB_Registry();
107 - $db =& new vB_Database_Explain($vbulletin);
111 - $db =& new vB_Database($vbulletin);

Would appreciate if anyone knows what may be wrong, asked my host if they would possibly downgrade back to 5.2 until this is fixed but you can't.

regarding the deprecated functions, this issue is related with your php version. i'll assume that your php is 5.3.0 because in this version some functions connected with the image resizing are deprecated so you have to open the file that you're having the error in...

in order to change the code right you'll need this reference:

however, i recommend you downgrade your php version to 5.2.13 or less to solve the problem without having any need to change the code.

When I click to upload images it gives me the page not found?

I need the facility to associate captions with the uploaded images, and a couple of other changes. I plan to post a job ad in the freelancers' section here. If anyone feels inclined to share the development costs then please send me a PM and we can work out the details.
