Then change the index and costum_x templates again. So everthing is running again. Pretty that the upgrade don't work.. (good hat I have backups from Language and templates;) So very happy again! |
You should have waited just a few more minutes Symbian. :p
Apparently the upgrade script for RC3 removes quite a bit if it's not a vBulletin default setting, phrase, etc. Hopefully there will be a way around this for future versions. I'm hoping to release the next version of this script soon, so I will be sure to see if there are any solutions to these problems before that release. For anyone that's upgraded, I've thrown together a quick & dirty upgrade script. It's the same as the install script, just with some things modified to only make the necessary changes. Just download the script from this post, upload it to your admincp directory, and run the script in your browser. You will also need to open your adv_index.php file and look for "filesize," (without the quotes) and change that to "attachment.filesize," (again, wthout the quotes). |

Yes, any custom templates you added will still be there after the upgrade.

I'm having a major problem installing this.
I've done everything up to the point of using the advindex_install.php When I click "Click here to continue to step 4 -->" It forces me to try and download the advindex_install.php file. After I press "Click here to continue to step 4 -->" again.. it goes to the page but gives me a database error. |
OK, I may have missed this in the last 24 pages, but I don't think so.
Looking at my root: http://www.mcseworld.com/ Lots of basic images are not showing up. I took care of the issues with the smilies and post icons RE the cache needed to be updated...but I cannot figure this one out. I did make the image path change as required. Anyone???? |
