No problems, I'll just get everyone to upload their info again. Racing season is over here for winter now anyways. Thanks for everything.:)

Just to clarify, I am running them one at a time.

I was getting the same error. I took out the 'vb' from the beginning of the vbprofilefield in the queries and they ran fine and the database is working now.

Thanks hotwheels

Thanks hotwheels

Good point, that would have fixed it for me too. I never thought about that, mine was named just profilefield as well, hopefully this will help others. Good post.

There is still an issue with the custom profile fields and their titles. Or is this what your queries do hotwheels and correct this problem. Only prevelant in 3.6+

The titles have been moved on profile fields.

Code:

<phrasetype name="Custom Profile Fields" fieldname="cprofilefield">
    <phrase name="field50_desc"><![CDATA[What do you drive ?]]></phrase>
    <phrase name="field50_title"><![CDATA[Ride]]></phrase>
</phrasetype>

what zachariah said............yes, my queries do that for ya, that is what the "aa" and the "a" are for.........which should fill in these:
Quote:

$aa= 'Ride';
$ab= 'Horsepower';
$ac= '60 foot time';
$ad= '1/8 Mile ET';
$ae= '1/8 Mile MPH';
$af= '1/4 Mile ET';
$ag= '1/4 Mile MPH';
$ah= 'Link to Timeslip';
$ai= 'Race weight';
$aj= 'Track Name';
$ak= 'Density Altitude';
$al= 'Engine type and displacement';
$am= 'Major modifications';
$an= 'Tranny type';
$ao= 'Induction';
$ap= 'Tires';

$a= 'What do you drive?';
$b= 'HP at the wheels';
$c= 'Enter your 60 foot time';
$d= 'Enter your 1/8 Mile ET';
$e= 'Enter your 1/8 Mile MPH';
$f= 'Enter your 1/4 Mile ET';
$g= 'Enter your 1/4 Mile MPH';
$h= 'Enter a link to your timeslip (including the http://)';
$i= 'Enter the weight of your vehicle with driver';
$j= 'What is the name of the dragstrip where you race?';
$k= 'What was the density altitude the day you got your best ET?';
$l= 'Enter your engine type and displacement';
$m= 'List only major mods separated by a comma';
$n= 'Auto or Manual?';
$o= 'Select your power adder';
$p= 'What type of tires were you using

When you go to the Timeslip database and then click "Submit timeslip" the page it brings up doesnt have any words on it, just boxes? If you go to your User CP then Profile the words are their? Is this the way its supposed to be?

If so, can I go in and change what the "Submit Timeslip" link points to?

hotwheels 11-17-2006 07:00 PM

It should take you to the user profile, where you can edit your vehicle information and submit a timeslip.....

What happen's since you have this much of it working, if you reinstall the .xml via the admincp and click overwrite.......?

Everything should work since the only thing my upgrade does is add the title and description word back to the profilefield in your mysql....

92GreenGT 11-19-2006 01:31 AM

I re-installed the XML file and clicked the overwrite button and it didnt fix it. I took a screenshot to show you what it does, it goes to the "Vehicle Profile" page which isnt even in the User CP options, I believe it used to do this in the 3.5.x version, not sure why its not updated?

-Edit-
I dont know if im the only one having this problem(probably is..lol) but if anyone else is having this problem do this:
Open the .xml file in a text editor(I use Notepad II) and go to line 433 and change "edittimeslip" to whatever you want the link to point to, in my case it was just Edit profile so I put in "editprofile" in place of "edittimeslip". Then save the file and upload it with Overwrite selected and your done. :)

Works perfect now, thanks again.
