With any script like this there is the possibility of serious server load issues. Nobody with shared hosting should even think about hosting any chat room where people hang all day refreshing the page constantly. If you have shared hosting, configure this as a 'shoutbox', where people get logged out quickly.

There's GCBOS - Generic Chat Box Operating System. And Official AddonChat Product.

I am having some issues with a newly installed vBulletin 4.0.6 and this chatbox. It is the only add-on that I have installed.

I have searched through the thread and looked for the following questions:

1) How to change the color of the textbox background color where you read text. - I think I have that answered in the StyleVars blockrow_background color

2) How to change the color of the text entry background color. - I found an answer but it doesn't seem to work. This post https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=795 said to change this entry in one of the chatbox templates color:{vb:raw vsacb_colorfirst} but it did not seem to work. *EDIT* I was putting the background-color:#000000 in the wrong place. There are three entries of {vb:raw vsacb_colorfirst} in the template. It was the third one that needed the background-color entry.

3) The chatbox color selector. It is for some reason doubling the first color in the chatbox settings. When black is the first color listed in the Colors available in drop-down menu setting, it shows two blacks. However, when I remove black, and Gold is the first choice there, it shows two golds in the colors drop-down menu.

Ya, #1364 has been answered so many times in this thread it's crazy. Better you uninstall than to go to the bother of finding the answer yourself.

Fantastic Chat...works perfectly. I've however two requests:

1. Add a sound when a new message is written on the chat
2. The ability do delete messages directly from the chat display on the forumdisplay without the needing to go in Archive.

I hope to find more supporters for these requests. :D

Guys have a question. My chat box was working just fine for months until today every time I go on the site the chat box is stuck on loading and when I try to post something it says a security token is missing. Any idea the issue or how to fix?

Assuming you haven't changed anything for a while, and assuming this is a shared server, have you contacted your host and asked them what they changed last night? Best to do this while it's fresh in their minds.

I seem to only have that problem when I use google chrome. I use other browsers and the chat box works fine. Anybody know how I might have changed security options on goodle chrome without knowing.

Just done the upgrade form 4.3 to 4.6 and now the chats not showing any chat just constant refreshing any ideas please guys???
