It will show when you have usergroup permissions to view.

In version 2.7.4 when you set a tournament with 32 teams as 1v1 it doesnt progress winner to round6 class , so i decided to try beta 2.7.5 now there is a problem with this columns
It wont show up round2's 9th team, round3's 5th team, round4's 3th team and round5's 2th team.
I tried to solve by myself but that code was so complicated i couldnt figure where the hell was making problem, any idea banana?

Yep, one of my algorithm's was wrong for round 2 of a 32 player single elimination tournament, it should be fixed in Beta 4 attached to first post.

Have there been any TEMPLATE CHANGES?

You make it extremely hard to upgrade this program with the way you time your templates.

Noblefist 02-14-2009 08:35 PM

Will this work on the New 3.8 ? it would help a lot in our PvP turny's
-Thanks,

Thanks for great mod!

Jaxel 02-16-2009 01:38 AM

Does Beta5 add in those BYES that this system needs?

Jaxel 02-16-2009 01:54 PM

So what about that BYE system? Is it in place yet?

Doctor Death 02-16-2009 04:29 PM

Wow what a great mod.... tight integration and really sweet. Thanks a lot for doing this.

Doctor Death 02-16-2009 04:49 PM

I have a dark background board... How can I change the Announcement Text Color so it is more visible? (Might be a great option to allow you to pick your hex color code!)

Thanks

Doctor Death 02-16-2009 05:08 PM

Should the team logos appear in the team listing? Mine dont.

There should be the following columns for Team List
  • Teams Name
  • Members
  • Joins
  • Wins
  • Views

AFAIK the modification has not been translated. The v2.7.5 Beta 4 uses all vbphrases so should be easier to translate

Sorry, you'll have to add into style text-color: #FFFFFF

So you'll get something like this

HTML Code:

<div id="div1" style="padding: 5px 5px 10px 5px; text-color: #FFFFFF;">

Jaxel 02-17-2009 11:32 AM

Hey Bananalive, you use Firefox, dont you? Have you ever looked at the bracket lines in IE? they are a little off.

Also... the SWAP PLAYER function... I noticed that you could swap players with someone who is ALREADY in the tournament, this ends up putting the player in the tournament twice. If you swap players with someone who is already in the tournament, it should reverse the locations in the bracket of those two players; not put a player in twice.

Gamelobby 02-17-2009 10:48 PM

I think the swap player option is for swapping someone in to take the place of someone who has disappeared, gone AWOL. leaving a blank spot in the schedule.!?

Why would you swap for someone who is already in the tournament..?

Jaxel 02-18-2009 04:17 AM

Well it could happen if someone makes a mistake... with 64 man tournaments, one of my tournament moderators could do it by accident...

As for swapping positions of players, it is important, because you dont want two people who train together, playing each other first round.

Honk0815 02-18-2009 06:13 AM

Hello,

Hey thanks for that... I modified the template but the announcement didnt change at all...

To make sure I am not t confusing anyone, it is the announcement title in the following that scrolls on the screen

Quote:

Announcement: Joining A Tournament
Where it says "Joining A Tournament" is dark or a darker background.

Thanks!

Yeah sorry I understand where you mean. It's just the wrong code in the right place - the link will not take the text-color from the div. You could try changing the background of the div:

HTML Code:

<div id="div1" style="padding: 5px 5px 10px 5px; background: #FFFFFF;">

v2.7.6: Pre-Release
- Start Tournament (in Tournament Tools) even if there are multiple free slots left
- Bye Players (automatically added for single elimination tournaments when 'Start tournament' is clicked; they cannot be moved to next round; uses $vbphrase[tmnt_bye_player] - can be blank)

Jaxel 02-20-2009 09:17 AM

Bananalive, how are BYEs placed around the bracket? Are they stratified? You wouldn't want two BYEs playing each other in the first round. You also wouldn't want there to be 8 BYEs on the first half of the bracket, and only 3 BYEs on the second half.

Basically, players should be put in as follows... this is basic construction for all tournament systems...

16 players - split bracket into 4, 4 man quadrants... once you run out of players to input, put byes in the remaining positions.
Code:

Quadrant 1 - Position 1
Quadrant 3 - Position 1
Quadrant 2 - Position 1
Quadrant 4 - Position 1
Quadrant 1 - Position 3
Quadrant 3 - Position 3
Quadrant 2 - Position 3
Quadrant 4 - Position 3
Quadrant 1 - Position 2
Quadrant 3 - Position 2
Quadrant 2 - Position 2
Quadrant 4 - Position 2
Quadrant 1 - Position 4
Quadrant 3 - Position 4
Quadrant 2 - Position 4
Quadrant 4 - Position 4

32 players - split bracket into 4, 8 man quadrants... once you run out of players to input, put byes in the remaining positions.
Code:

Quadrant 1 - Position 1
Quadrant 3 - Position 1
Quadrant 2 - Position 1
Quadrant 4 - Position 1
Quadrant 1 - Position 5
Quadrant 3 - Position 5
Quadrant 2 - Position 5
Quadrant 4 - Position 5
Quadrant 1 - Position 3
Quadrant 3 - Position 3
Quadrant 2 - Position 3
Quadrant 4 - Position 3
Quadrant 1 - Position 7
Quadrant 3 - Position 7
Quadrant 2 - Position 7
Quadrant 4 - Position 7
Quadrant 1 - Position 2
Quadrant 3 - Position 2
Quadrant 2 - Position 2
Quadrant 4 - Position 2
Quadrant 1 - Position 6
Quadrant 3 - Position 6
Quadrant 2 - Position 6
Quadrant 4 - Position 6
Quadrant 1 - Position 4
Quadrant 3 - Position 4
Quadrant 2 - Position 4
Quadrant 4 - Position 4
Quadrant 1 - Position 8
Quadrant 3 - Position 8
Quadrant 2 - Position 8
Quadrant 4 - Position 8

64 players - split bracket into 4, 16 man quadrants... once you run out of players to input, put byes in the remaining positions.

Also... any SKIN changes we should be aware of?

Also... is the limit for tournaments still 64? or can we do 128 now?

Also... if I setup a 64 man tournament, and only 28 people enter, will the system revert to a 32 man structure and fill in 4 BYEs? Or will it fill in 36 BYEs?

It is programmed to prevent two byes being next to each other. It is impossible that Bye's to go to next round.

Template changes were applied to tmnt_bracket

You should be able to do 128 players now.

28 players will go to 32 slots with 4 byes.

Jaxel 02-20-2009 11:18 AM

SWEET!...

Then I assume you're using my CIEL functions, then filling in odd spots, then even spots, then completing leftovers with byes?

Also... thank you for taking my recommendations, especially with the timestamps.... you forgot to put version#s though =P
