You need to download the latest version and upload the files again. Then import the product_goldbrick.xml.

Don't forget to click install here so you can receive news about updates.

still the same after overwriting and upload? Im sure its something very simple. I did exactly as above mentioned, uploaded the .xml from computer into the import program section on admincp. I also put the .xml on the server does it need to be, and if so where (be specific)?

I think once i get this going im going to write the installation guide!

Is nix short for Nick Burns the company computer guy? mooove!

Hi,

I just installed Goldbrick (not any media) and I get the following error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in /forum/goldbrick/plugins/bbcode_create.php on line 53

Can you help?

Si_b 01-07-2008 10:52 AM

just installed any media now and I get the same thing. If I disable the goldbrock plug in, I can see the post with the tags (just the link, not the video.

nix 01-07-2008 06:23 PM

Goldbrick is PHP 5 only.

phifou 01-07-2008 07:32 PM

Hello to all,

Since 2 days, I am trying to install Anymedia 3.1b3 on a vBulletin 3.5.1 running under PHP Version 4.4.4

For many reasons that will be too long to explain, I cannot upload to a newer vB version and my hosting company do not plan to move to PHP5 before mid 2008.

So, I installed Anymedia 3.1b3 on my current platform...

First I was really disapointed to not find any basic install instructions. I read today the 90 pages of this forum to learn that I have to set usergroups and forums permissions. According other things I read, I think I have templates to edit ... wicht templates ? wich replacements ? I don't know...

So Anymedia seems to work partially on my website :

I can manually (I do not have the M tag in the editor) enter from direct links for .avi, .wmv, .asx and it correctely launch the player and play the video. Pict 1

Attachment 74305

Regarding YouTube, it does not play the video but only show a thumbail and ask for upgrade flashplayer2. Pict 2

Attachment 74306

So, I am sure that I miss info to install correctely this product.

1) I would like to have instructions to have the M tag on the editor to direct paste video URLs, please

2) I would like to solve the problem with YouTube flashplayer ....

Many thanks in advance for help.

nix 01-07-2008 08:02 PM

Download anymedia for 3.5. Same install instructions. I'm not supporting this version of anymedia anymore.

I wrote an installation guide. As far as the other stuff it seems that you're having a vbulletin problem.

http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/main/import_product

that's how to install a product. You don't need the xml file on the server.

Is the product enabled? Just because you posted a link to the thread really don't help me to help you.

Thanx for Template info, I have now the M picto fully functionnal.

Regarding the other point "upgrade flashplayer2" I do not ask for support, but simply something like friendly help :erm:

May be there are specific versions off flvplayer to use ... many thanks in advance for the help.

nix 01-08-2008 03:41 PM

That means you don't have javascript enabled in your browser or you used the quick reply. Just refresh the page.

Unfortunely, no. I tried on IE, Firefox ... the same. I checked in my browser options that Javascript is enabled, and it is ...

The code of my HTML code shows that :

YouTube - vintage karmann ghia commercial (97)

Close

nix 01-08-2008 06:23 PM

did you refresh the page?

phifou 01-08-2008 06:28 PM

Yes, I tried preview, I validate, I refreshed ...

Did you upload the 1.2 files?

nix 01-09-2008 03:08 AM

Uninstall Anymedia.

If that doesn't work you can PM me a link to your site with a temp admin and I'll take a look.

nix 01-09-2008 03:18 AM

Goldbrick Version 1.3:
- Fixed Images
- Fixed MP3's
- Fixed Myspace, now supports myspacetv.com
- Added Increase or decrease video size for the classic player (testebr gets the credit for this one)

- Added Veoh video site.

rainyleaves 01-09-2008 03:23 AM

Yes. I uploaded Goldbrick 1.2.
I will try again with 1.3. :)
Thanks.

rainyleaves 01-09-2008 03:50 AM

I tried with 1.3.

Works good.
But I get blank window.
See my attached image(File name:111).

This test just only Goldbrick 1.3.(disabled Anymedia)

* Test with Anymedia.
Works good. I can play Youtube.
But lightbox is off.(Gray screen is off)
See my attached image(File name:222).
Is this normal?

What is my problem?
Do I need Anymedia for Goldbrick?
I mean do I must install Anymedia for Goldbrick?

Thanks for your reply. :)

nix 01-09-2008 04:02 AM

You can't have both. Pick one. Goldbrick is an updated version of anymedia.

rainyleaves 01-09-2008 04:07 AM

I found what is problem.

The problem caused by FireFOX on MAC.
No problem with Safari on MAC.

Really thanks for your quick reply. :)

The Big M is the default image if the site makes it a pain to grab a thumbnail.

What link did you use and where did you post it. That's really a javascript error. Not a flash.
