How would you hide this from guests?

What code and where would I add it?

Thanks

Regards Jason :)

Jase2 12-30-2007 07:34 PM

Never mind, I've done it hehe.

Regards Jason :)

After playing around with the queries, I found that removing AND `visible` = '1' and AND `open`!='10' from the WHERE clause speeds up the mod a lot. I'm wondering if there's any bad effects by doing this? Or do you have another suggestion to further optimize the queries.

The ideal way will be to cache them every x minutes or every hour. Pulling the stats dynamically all the time really slows down the forum index.

FYI: We're on a dedicated server with 200-300 online users during peak hours. The database is stored on an external server. Using vBMicroStats, with the mod enabled the load time is around 10% on PHP and 90% on MySQL. Without the mod, it's almost 50-50.

I'm not that familiar with queries. Could you tell me the exact command to use please?
Thank you.

That may be true on shared hosting server with slow performance... I notice no change in my sites, but they are running on my own servers too.

Moderated thread's title not hidden in "Latest threads"(Not Latest post)
it's any setting wrong?

Ensure that you have NOT applied query changes posted by some user above...

newguy 01-03-2008 08:34 AM

Is there a way to keep a members post not showing up in the latest post? (one particular member)

P.S. My rss bot is the one I do not want in there driving down the latest post from real members.

mescalin 01-04-2008 02:00 PM

This mod is greatness! Thanks!

I would like to ask though if there's a possibility to add "Latest Blogs" to the options. (?)

Either way, still great!

I believe all you are doing is refreshing the screen. And no, it won't show changes without refreshing. Doesn't seem to be a problem though if you are maneuvering around.

I have enabled the stats on my CMPS page by putting $cybtopstats in my adv_portal template. How do I make it ONLY show up on my FRONT page and not all of the other pages created with CMPS?

Thanks!!

Deadly Assassin 01-08-2008 04:21 AM

Great hack as always from you mate.

Just one thing, my DB had to go bck one week and now the top poster stats are not reading correctly, my post count reads 42 and it should be 129 or something.

thanks in advance.

hscorp 01-08-2008 07:01 PM

I have been investigating high load on my forum, and it appears that his hack, set with as basic an option set as possible, causes my index page load time to go up 180%.

Cyb, is there a possibility to make the code read a cached result, that is updated on every new post or new user?

Just a thought... :) (and thanks for the good work so far - this really does enhance vb)

I encountered an issue with latest php 5.2.4 with IE7 the information box has huge blanked out section before the information. Anyone else getting this issue? I had php 4.4.4 with no issues then upgraded and it broke the mod. The view more results works fine it is just the index page. Taking snapshot now of it.

golfum 01-11-2008 07:59 PM

Can I get it so that it is on every page under the menu bar?

sefo 01-11-2008 08:11 PM

thank you it's a great add-on
i have a question
some members turn it off how can i turn it on again to them or tell them to turn it on?

Big Kahuna 01-12-2008 02:19 PM

Very Kool Hack

Would love to see it go to a 3rd row someday, and include Viewing Skins (as I have about 30 on my board) www.MoPowerStyle.com

Big Kahuna 01-12-2008 11:59 PM

Yup -- I've used a couple of his hacks so far -- and they're top shelf.

Question: Has anyone uninstalled Top 'X' Stats by InfiniteWebby after installing this hack? I don't why I shouldn't be able to -- but I don't want to be bleeding edge.

legionofangels 01-14-2008 02:15 AM

Hello Cyb,

Excellent mod and we've used it for awhile now and it seems to work fine after our initial troubles with the links on it.

However I need to do a small modification and you are probably the only one who can help us with this. See attached image first:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...cyb-adjust.gif

We would like to basically add a <br> underneath the line that names the headers or categories, or the Thread, Date Time, Posted By, etc. etc, line. That would in effect allow the rest of the threads to go down and either center in the box and it would tell viewers that the first line is a header line of that category of Latest Posts.

Another idea would be to just shrink the dimension of height of the whole CYB table so that it tightens the other 6 boxes, and the Latest Posts one as well.

So our question is which way should I proceed, and where can I change the code to clear out the dead space at the bottom of the Latest Posts Box?

-------------------------------

We are using a natural VB font, but not the standard original Verdana, in changing it though this is our result. If we shrink it to make the box work with the text, the text is unreadable. That is why we are asking, and if you don't wish to post the modified code publically, can you please pm or email it to me? I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you,

Legion of Angels

I have exactly the same problem, i didn't realise because it DOESN'T show up with fire fox it only occurs for me with IE.

River_rush 01-18-2008 12:53 PM

Bump, any clues?

Traxdata 01-18-2008 08:38 PM

Hi,
I have disabled (not uninstalled) this product and now I have an uncached template on forumhome:

Quote:

Uncached templates: cyb_topstats_turnon (1)
How to cache? :) Thank you

Have enabled again: message disappeared...

I'm having this same problem

Bump

legionofangels 01-19-2008 06:35 PM

I don't know if this is supported anymore or not yo.

???

meissenation 01-19-2008 07:46 PM

I just installed the most recent update, I was on 4.8. Now the title bar shows but that's it, no actual stats.

EDIT: Fixed it... my template changes did not get overwritten by the new product install, even after I uninstalled the product entirely. Went into the template revision history and overwrote the new template history with the current template and it works now.

BoredOutOfMyMin 01-19-2008 08:41 PM

5.7 works with no errors on 3.7.Beta 3

iogames 01-19-2008 09:15 PM

Can somebody give me an example on how to set up this in a SubForum???

Quote:

You can have Main Stats box shown on several pages...
It's shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set "Main Top Stats box on ForumHome" to "None")
To activate another location:
a) put location-name in "Stats on Custom Pages" field in hack settings
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');"
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course)
Note: When setting several locations then separate location-names by commas
b) add "$cybtopstats" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown

Received a random mySQL error, figured I'd throw it out there --

Looks like a user was searching all pages that someone had registered with a specific username. They searched yahoo for "allenprot" and my site was at the bottom of the third page -- http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=all...&pstart=1&b=21

The link that Yahoo uses to get to my site:
http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu9Q_W5.../topXstats.php

Returns:
Database error in vBulletin 3.6.6:

Invalid SQL:

how about getting this working for 3.7 ? ;)

choccyclaire 01-24-2008 06:31 PM

Any ideas why my links are invalid? They show the URL twice etc..

alfieuk 01-26-2008 10:00 PM

Hi,

I downloaded and installed this a while ago and all was ok until i changed my theme.

Now as you can see i have a dark theme and certain areas of text are showing in black which makes it hard to read.

I have tried changing font colours in the CSS but don't seem to be able to find the right one.

Any help is greatly appreciated :
